This year I want to care less about stuff I have no power about, like wars oceans away.

I find edge uses less resources of my computer, I can have it open while on youtube while I game but I can’t do that with chrome.

Youtube music after you uploaded your personal library there, it was how I used play music before.

It’s really bizarre how so many business can exist while not turning a profit just because there’s a profit potential because they rose in popularity really fast, Uber will be 15 years old this year.

It would be fair if they at least were free like Stable Diffusion, but both dall-e and midjourney charge fees.

I’m glad that the only gacha that entered normie sphere was Genshin, with all the negative attention it got I wonder how people would react to second job ones like Fate GO and Granblue.

It’s great that Blue Archive is impenetrable.

Me vs my ISP

So I was looking into getting port forwarding set up and I realized just how closed-off the internet has gotten since the early days. It’s concerning. It used to be you would buy your own router and connect it to the internet, and that router would control port-forwarding and what-have-you....

Yep, the US reserved most of the ipv4 for them so they have no need for CGNAT, I had to change my ISP to host a terraria server for my friends because of it, but if you don’t live in a big city you have no options.

I read that you can say to your ISP that you need port forwarding to use a remote camera system and they will make an exception for you, but I just switched since I even got a better speed deal.

I don’t know how common it is but my grandmas always said that you shouldn’t eat pork after being released from the hospital or while sick. Then I finally remembered to ask a doctor about it and he said there’s no such thing.

yamanii,
@yamanii@lemmy.world avatar

That’s the thing, you can still eat beef and everything from bovines, fish, chicken, my grandmas only said this about pork!

yamanii,

The fact that it’s common sense now is proof it worked.

I still require all my phones to have a SD card slot since the higher capacity versions are way more expensive than even a UHS card.

Yes it’s getting harder to find newer phones that have it above entry level models.

If the phone has a headphone jack, it probably has that FM tuner.

Mine has it on the side, also good.

I download everything I consume, my podcasts, music, manga, and even some netflix and pocket articles, this + gachas becoming increasingly bigger now makes it so 128GB is not enough anymore when Genshin alone occupies 30% of that.

After system updates you effectively only have like 100GB of space for real.

Yep, a medium sized youtuber that worked as HR said this to everyone that is looking for a raise: change company and come back.

After 23 years, developer reveals he snuck a cheat code past Sony that turns a cult-classic horror game into a godsend for retro enthusiasts (www.gamesradar.com)

Wait they also never apologized but still pester Japan about it?

Solomon’s Key is more known nowadays thanks to a Gamecenter CX episode they had on it, great game, guess it was popular in Japan to enter NSO.
