Big difference is a modern sailboat like a ketch or sloop can maintain a straight course as much as 45 degrees into the wind. A Victorian era square rigger is greatly more limited with a range about 60 degrees off either side of downwind. A kite would be even more limited, probably within 45 degrees so it would only be useful when going mostly downwind. Still if it’s cheap and easy to deploy it’s free energy when it can be used. An interesting parallel is the spinnaker sail used on a typical sailboat flies much like a kite and can only be used within a similar downwind range. It’s a very powerful sail when it can be deployed.
The seller of this shirt got a cease and desist from the sackler family lawyer and went on to make another shirt with that email exchange wherein he asked the lawyer to relay the “kill yourselves” message to his clients 🔥
So unfortunately they are unavailable forever but it looks like there are plenty of copycat sites that will print it, but probably not long sleeve or with the back graphic
All marketing is pandering. This company just saw a huge niche that hadn’t yet been filled and jumped in. You’re not wrong that it’s somewhat exploitative, but all products are to some extent.
Just like the healthy crops that were observed from satelite? That turned out to be just rebar with rocks on top driven into the ground? Or the dirt hills that spray painted green for the same reason.
That video specifically shows the rebar and rock fake crops and some green painting of barren land and hills. They even use rolls of fake plastic plants to make hillsides look alive. When really nothing grows there.
An Israeli strike targeting a Hamas commander in the densely populated Jabalya refugee camp in northern Gaza has left catastrophic damage and killed a large number of people, according to eyewitnesses and medics in the enclave.
Israel is a terrorist state, and they're so blood thirsty for Hamas commanders that they're bombing fucking refuge camps.
And they wonder what drives support for Hamas? Jk, no they don't. Israel knowsthey support Hamas because of Israel's actions, and Israel leans into it to give them excuses to marginalize and remove Palestinians from their land one way or another.
I don't support Hamas, but supporting Israel is unconcionable, and has been for years. But with so many things these days, the authorizations are going full mask off...
Absolutely. Punishing the civilians they're hiding amongst us a literal war crime (collective punishment), and I refuse to support a state that's trying to ethnicly cleanse a neighboring state so they can steal land.
Also, a commander being there is a fucking weak excuse to bomb a fucking refugee camp. No matter what you think of the war, it should be unconscionable to target a camp of people who's lives you've already destroyed, but considering the end goal of Israel, I'm not surprised they'd stoop that low.
Hey now, if we don’t keep ruining real people’s lives by brutally enforcing imaginary lines on this Earth we all share, the terrorists win… or something.
Because if we can’t feel superior to people accross that line over there, and they can’t cope by feeling superior to other people accross a different line, how will we console our fragile human egos?!
One may dye their hair green and wear their grandma's coat all they want. Capital has the ability to subsume all critiques into itself. Even those who would critique capital end up reinforcing it instead…
So you’ve effectively done what they wanted OP - and I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be some lowkey marketing effort or something tbh.
The spirit’s flavor “opens with umami and tangy aromas of nacho cheese, moving to the deeper, corn-forward flavors of the chip to finish on a soft salty note,” the company said.
Pro tip: always have at least two on hand. That way you drink one to turn gay and then you can drink another to become gay gay. It then cancels out to straight again.
AA was not racially biased, it was necessary and it still is
“After California banned race-conscious admissions in 1996, the proportions of Black and Latino students at UCLA, one of the most elite school’s in the state’s system, fell drastically. By 2006, a decade later, only 96 Black students enrolled in a freshman class of nearly 5,000. They became known as the Infamous 96.”
Defending that is seriously messed up. Everyone agrees that AA wasn’t perfect, but it was the most effective way of diversifying student bodies. Racist Republicans got what they wanted, it’s as simple as that.
Fair play to them, as a real ale drinking Brit, I wouldn’t touch this or bud light with a bargepole, but if it a corp outwardly supporting LGBT rights then I hope it does well.
