Sometimes that’s part of the issue (or the whole deal), but sometimes it’s not even that.
Sometimes it’s that someone asked something difficult and elaborate to answer, which has been answered a ton of times, and it’s tedious to answer again and again. But if someone answers with misinformation or even straight FUD, then one needs to feel the urge to correct that to prevent misinformation.
I suffered that with questions in r/QtFramework. Tons of licensing questions, repeated over and over, from people who have not bothered to read a bit about such a well known and popular license as LGPL. Then someone who cares little for the nuance answers something heavy handed, and paints a wrong picture. Then I can’t let the question pass. I need to correct the shitty answer. :-(
I know this looks hopeless. But the entire humanity isn’t responsible for the mess the world is in. In fact, the vast majority of humans are innocent beings who don’t intend any harm on other humans or the nature.
It’s just a tiny percentage that’s the problem - an extremely greedy and sociopathic minority. Making the entire human race disappear is not going to work, since these vermin will find a way to sacrifice all the innocent ones, save themselves and take all the resources for themselves (exactly like in this news story). The only reason there is some sanity is because the good people fight back. And that’s the only option we have.
We pay them. It’s not the other way around. We feed them what they need to do this.
We trade humanity for a false sense of security under gang nations that work for world dominance.
We are the problem too. If you pay tax than you’ve paid someone to murder for you.
I’ve seen street life it’s the same thing.
If people won’t protect themselves then they will always be submissive to warlords that get paid for exactly the hell we see. It’s profit, it’s career. Same as gang life.
Doesn’t even matter anyway… It’s already done and dead. There’s no more escaping what humanity’s apathy made.
Nile red, hugbees “how it’s actually made” series, wendover productions, crime pays but botany doesn’t, explosions and fire, practical engineering, real engineering, PBS eons and space, Mia Mulder, Steve mould, journey to the microcosmos(S-tier). Here’s my contribution for anyone looking for recommendations
If an asteroid fell from space onto Tel Aviv, I’d be on the asteroids side. It’s not about ideology, it’s about removing a fascist ethnostate from the world.
If I had a time machine I'll just go to the past and tell them: "I come from the future to tell you that we have built a web that allow us to immediately share our thoughts across the globe interconnecting humanity, and We all think you suck" then jump onto my machine and disappear into another time to spread the message.
