Smoooooooth 😁

Asafum, to comicstrips in "Just Season It" by Mr.Lovenstein

Ok God, then why didn’t you make them already seasoned?! God has shitty taste!

darthelmet, to comicstrips in "Just Season It" by Mr.Lovenstein

Maybe I’m just not prepping them right, but for me the problem I have with a lot of veggies is the texture.

Dangdoggo,
@Dangdoggo@kbin.social avatar

Or curry! Letting all those flavors meld, you can put any veg in there and it will break down into soft loveliness.

pugsnroses77,

soup is the answer

PunnyName,

-Raw is perfectly fine for most veggies.
-Steaming is an easy method, if raw is unpleasant or if the veggie is more woody.
-Blanche and shock make a cooked veggie divine!
-Sauteed (with plenty of butter) until fork tender on the stove top also helps.
-Baking on a sheet tray, covered in olive oil and salt / pepper make a lot of veggies shine

The main issue with all of those is understanding cook times, which takes trial and error.

Why not link the actual artist’s website so they can get some revenue? Plus, there’s usually a hidden panel for his comics.

dependencyInjection,

Why didn’t you?

Is itthis

Fermion,

That link goes to a parking page, as in the domain is just held by a broker waiting to sell it. You missed the first n in lovenstein.

Here’s a direct link to the strip shown.

mrlovenstein.com/comic/1155

dependencyInjection,

Thanks for the correction. Evidently, I need some new glasses.

sag,

OK, I will link the artist’s website. I usually provide source link to where I found the comic.

Frying anything makes it taste better. Deep frying makes almost anything edible delicious.

I just discovered a cookbook called Six Seasons: A New Way with Vegetables by Joshua McFadden while looking up cookbooks to get me to eat more veggies. It's in the mail, so I can't vouch for the recipes yet. Apparently it's very highly rated though and I'm excited for some tasty veggies.

Phanatik, to comicstrips in "Yor's Body Count" by ASliceofAlan

Yor is one of the main characters from SpyxFamily. She's known for being a highly-skilled assassin and extremely gullible. She has these "friends" who don't really like her for some reason.

Just wanted to add some context for this post.

aaaa,

Spyx Family sounds like a slur.

sudo,

Spy x Family is also an incredibly entertaining anime

Franzia, to comicstrips in "Yor's Body Count" by ASliceofAlan

These commenta are so permissive… I prefer to sleep with people who have not killed anyone. 🤷‍♀️ sorry not sorry.

azerial, (edited ) to comicstrips in "Yor's Body Count" by ASliceofAlan

Such a dumb question that people obses over. As a gay man, i personally prefer someone who will actually have experience and be good in bed.

edit: i am not criticizing the comic strip, i love the animation, just the theme. I’ve always found body count super silly/borderline sexist…

WalrusDragonOnABike,

Given how those characters are portrayed in the show, iirc, it's probably making fun of the idea.

Yor is thinking they're asking how many people she has killed.

DessertStorms,
@DessertStorms@kbin.social avatar

When men get cheered on and aggrandised for having a high "body count", while women get shamed and stigmatised if they do, it isn't borderline, it's blatant and outright sexism.

Gormadt,
@Gormadt@lemmy.blahaj.zone avatar

I’ve known a few people who seem to obsess over it. Typically it’s dudes but occasionally it’s women.

I’m a bi dude and I just want someone who’s willing to have new experiences, have fun, and cuddle.

The theme of this comic kinda rubs me the wrong way because all I can think of is “oh more people obsessing over a non-issue.”

I dig the art style though.

Curse you? Damn you?

newtraditionalists, to comicstrips in "Beep boop" by Chris Hallbeck

Lol I would play the shit out of a dog sim

Pothetato,
@Pothetato@lemmy.world avatar

Heck yeah. Stray 2? Or maybe Untitled Dog Game…

ComicalMayhem,

Stray was fun and artistic, but short and a touch mechanically limited.

Where’s my assassin’s creed but with cats game? Climbing the rooftops through that first town is so much fun, wish there was more of it.

CarlsIII,

This game is already 3 times as complex as Stray

ArseAssassin,
Franzia,

Boy have I got a “game” for you 😉

“You are laying on a (recently cleaned) floor. Your owner is outside, enjoying a nice, casual jogging. But for some reason none of those matters because HIS WALLET IS ON THE TABLE!”

“What are you going to do?”

“1) Munch wallet 2) Bite the wallet once, on its right side 3) Piss on the wallet 4) Bark”

"You’ve chosen – “Bark.”

“You let a wild bark come out of your mouth. Congratulations, it provoked your primal instincts to EAT THE WALLET WHOLE!”
