INHALE_VEGETABLES, in Satellite imagery and video shows some Gaza cemeteries razed by Israeli forces

Curious how damaged they are.

Where’s the satellite imagery?

Flyswat,

Curious how damaged they are.

One must have serious damage and no morals to do such thing

Here is a Ghost Archive link to the original story which includes satelite imagery.

They were bulldozed to flat, featureless earth, the word "razed" is accurate in this context.

ninjan, in Donald Tusk elected as Polish prime minister

I haven’t looked at an image but it’s not Donald Trump in a wig is it? Crazy coincidence on having so similar names.

petrescatraian,

@ninjan Clearly not, lol, not at all. The guy is not a newcomer in politics, either. He's previously served as a prime-minister until 2014 and then has been the President of the European Council, so I'm not seeing him go anywhere close to Donald Trump, unless I'm missing something.

I know in one case this is a bs slant. The person said its abhorrant but measures would only be taken if action was taken. IE the speech will not be silenced by the university but actually violence will not be allowed.

If you’re trying to make a statement about Palestinian sympathizers, you’re off the mark. Few people are defending Hamas’ attacks, but there are a lot of people criticizing Israel’s war crimes.

Auzy, (edited ) in Paris mayor quits X platform, calling it a 'gigantic global sewer'

The Paris Mayor? Is this really a major story?

Lots of people have left or silent quit… At this time, its hardly a story anymore honestly

Shocking few politicians have stopped using it however.

Hirom,

It’s a bit light for a news story. It could have been a lengthier analysis on Twitter’s decline and spread of hate speech on the platform.

twei,

Is this really a major story?

No, it’s a Mayor story

Jdreben, in Canadian former intelligence chief found guilty of leaking state secrets

Does this mean Tutanota is compromised?

coldredlight,

Potentially. They are denying it’s true, and I don’t think any more evidence has come out besides this one claim.

SplashJackson, in Canadian former intelligence chief found guilty of leaking state secrets

What a cockjob

kittenroar, in Israel, Hamas agree on four-day truce, hostage release and aid into Gaza

It’s not enough. It’s better than nothing, but it’s not enough.

yeather, in Israel, Hamas agree on four-day truce, hostage release and aid into Gaza

Which side do you think will break it first?

HumanPenguin, (edited )
@HumanPenguin@feddit.uk avatar

One side will claim the other did. And respond.

We all know what way around it will be.

But will see debates about weather or not the evidence of it being broken is real.

EDIT: honestly trying to avoid takibg sides. As niether are entirly innocent.

But fuck I am getting fed up with all sides claiming any support for the other is racist.

We have to much fucking racism to allow governemts to pull it out as a properganda move\weapon of war. While ignoring the actual actions.

senseamidmadness,

0x815, (edited ) in Israel-Hamas War: Israeli Army Takes Journalists on Controlled Visit to Gaza Hospital

It reads strange if the Israelian military takes journalists on a “controlled” visit given the Israeli government’s sentiment towards journalists, when they NOT control them. Just a remainder here or here or here.

memfree,

They will tell you “controlled” visits are for safety, but I remember in the post 9-11 Gulf War reporting how the Pentagon went all in for “embedded journalism”. Yeah, sure, it keeps the press ‘safe’, but it changes what gets covered. The media initially loved it, but later realized there were valid criticisms of the process.

More to the point: yeah, covering news should not be a death sentence. Even if you are covering a war, as civilian non-combatants you shouldn’t be targeted by any military… a la the ‘Collateral Murder’ wikileaks video of journalists shot by US helicopters.

Colorcodedresistor, in Commentary: We face a world potentially running out of antibiotics

  • BumbleBeeBleep,

“Running out” is a bit of a weird title here, it doesn’t mean that some deposit is running dry. There are more and more bacteria getting resistant for more and more types of antibiotics, making them no longer effective. Even a bottomless supply of antibiotics is useless if it doesn’t actually kill the things it’s supposed to kill.

I suppose the “running out” part would mean that there are only so many types of antibiotics, if none of them are effective anymore (or not enough of them are effective enough) we would be in some deep shit.

(being in deep shit may cause a severe risk of bacterial infection, I highly recommend not being in such a situation)

    HurlingDurling,

So this has been reported for years now. We aren’t running out of antibiotics. We are running out of options like you said. The real reason is that doctors would prescribe stronger antibiotics than were needed. Also, people would stop taking the full course because they felt better before then, and lastly, farms give antibiotics to their animals just in case, so any bacteria that would survive any of these is allowed to reproduce and become resistant to antibiotics.
