Lucidlethargy, (edited ) in What is the least SEO-fucked search engine?

Probably the new Google search that uses Bard. It’s not public yet, but you can ask for access.

Edit: It’s currently referred to as “generative search”, and you can use it on Android if you sign up for the beta version of the app on the play store.

JohnDClay,

Does it link to it’s sources yet?

zcd, in What series did you rewatch most often?

Band of Brothers

cmhickman358, in What series did you rewatch most often?

A lot of mine have already been listed here, but the one I don’t see yet is Red Dwarf, such a great show no matter how many times I see it.

CaptainMinnette, in What series did you rewatch most often?

Deep Space Nine. Not full re-watches, just going back to watch an episode or three.

meathorse, in What movie did you rewatch most often?

Not a movie but Band of Brothers is on top of the annual revisit list for the past 15 years

Closely followed by 5th Element & Starship Troopers

98codes, in What's with the corporate obsession with customer feedback?

I can tell you that at least for stuff I work on, every single comment entered into those little dialogs is read by a human that actually works in a meaningful role on the product.

Comments that curse and complain with no topic in mind are useless, and easily ignored. Take two seconds and tell them exactly what is bothering you and what you’d rather see, and things might actually get better.

Anyone that gives anyone in the service industry less than a 10 on those support/delivery surveys is a cop.

It seems to me like "memes’ which I think was at lemmy.ml has disappeared. Was really cranking out the memes not long ago.

Edit: It reappeared? Lemmy can be like a twilight zone sometimes.

krasny, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I usually check r/ModCoord and try to post some mandatory fuck u/spez.

For casual browsing I use lemmy

Undearius, in What happened to the previous meme content/posters?

I’m probably not the best person to answer because I blocked !memes but it seems like the latest trend is to post old school memes. It gives the older users a sense of nostalgia to a time in the early days if the internet. So I suspect a lot of people have focused on !antiquememesroadshow since it’s now a community.

Just like any internet trend, it will come and go quickly until the next fun and exciting thing takes its place.

Silasdss, in Those who tried Linux and went back to Windows, what caused you to go back to Windows?

I wanted to dual boot linux and windows but installed linux on the wrong drive partition and wrote over all of my data. Decided i was too stupid for linux. To be fair that was 3 years ago, maybe ill try again soon

200cc,

Try again and learn from your mistakes. Installing linux is nothing compared to much more difficult tasks

Zozano,
@Zozano@aussie.zone avatar

I spent three days installing Arch from scratch. After I got it working, I wiped everything and did it again and again, I wrote 2 simple script to automate the process, and after I was done, I wiped everything and installed Manjaro lol.

It’s a good learning experience, I recommend every new Linux user do it in a sandbox at least once.

If you try again, follow a dual-boot guide for your distro. Also, make your root and home partitions separate, so if you run into issues, you can reset safely.

It’s not just the same people, (re)posting whatever seems popular at the moment?
