Knecht, in In which game did you spend the most hours?

Risk of Rain 2, man. My absolute favorite game of all time.

Sadness.

draft - Steve Jobs (2015 Fassbender version)

lazylion_ca, in Do you think Federated networks are the future or do you think Peer to Peer networks are the future? Which do you think is better?

Look at the Zerotier vpn model. They have several instances hosted all over the world that the client app running on user devices initially contact. These instances are in essence federated even if they use a different term for it.

The instance then gives each client a list of peers and how to reach them, and the clients attempt to reach each other directly, bypassing the instance where possible.

Both models work together. There’s no need for locking into one and ignoring the other. Use the best tool for the job at hand.

smegger, in What series did you rewatch most often?

One punch man. Have probably watched it 3-4 times. It's just fun to watch and a light hearted parody of other hero shows.

Porcupine, (edited ) in How do you cheer yourself up after a rough day? Or a rough year?

Tell myself to quit being such a piece of shit and to get it together.

The results are variable.

I

Monkeyclock1234, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

Now and again I jump on for niche information for my hobbies. But only on desktop, and only on old.reddit.com

AugustMetronome, in What series did you rewatch most often?

Battlestar Galactica and X-Files are comfort watches to have on in the background

Daisyifyoudo, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I used RIF for close 10 years. Comparatively speaking, just trying to browse Reddit via app or in it’s browser is straight up r/eyebleach

theonetruedroid,

Patch it with Revanced and create a free personal API key. Boom.

Daisyifyoudo,

I appreciate the advice, but really don’t know what any of that means lol. And honestly, sounds like a bunch of steps to access a site I don’t have any interest in viewing or participating in anymore.

A hot dog. Let the cheese warm to room temp, then toast the bun. Once your Weiner and Buns are both ready put the cheese inside the bun under the dog and it should melt nicely. Add whatever your hot dog toppings of choice are.

Also literally any kind of sandwich that cheese is good on is another safe bet. Also grilled cheese.

lazylion_ca,

You just gonna gloss over the whistle dog? C’mon now.

Take two fingers of cheese and nestle a fried or boiled weiner betwixt. Wrap that thoroughly in long strips of lightly cooked peppered bacon, and poke some toothpicks through to hold it all together. Broil in the oven until the cheese starts to get melty. Bonus points if you get some sear on the bacon before all the cheese escapes. Put that on a toasted bun with garlic butter. Remember to remove the toothpicks. Serve with salsa fries or poutine.

ramplay,

Not quite the same as described but weirdly as a kid this was thee menu item I always wanted from A&W

lazylion_ca,

Back when A&W had seasoning salt on their onions rings.

The judge.

Leaves everything behind to become this great lawyer but when the unfortunate happens he has to go back and come to terms with what he thought was once lost.

Not sure why I keep watching it but I do enjoy how it develops.

Pretzelise, in What are your favorite "ugly" games?
@Pretzelise@aussie.zone avatar

I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet so… Golden Light!

A creepy, funny, challenging, confusing, silly mess if a roguelite. Art looks almost PS1-esque. It’s gorgeous in an ugly way!

2001, close to 40 times…and only in theaters. (I’ve never watched it on TV.)

Boogie Nights, close to 50 times…perhaps half of those on the big screen.

Gatsby,

Goddamn Mr moneybags over here.

I literally don’t have anything valuable enough I could sell to afford 40 movie theatre tickets, other than my car

wilberfan,
@wilberfan@lemmy.world avatar

See my response (above)–that’s over many, many years.

MementoMori,

Was this all in one go or do you just have a local theater that really loves to show it?

wilberfan,
@wilberfan@lemmy.world avatar

Those viewings of “2001” are over a multi-year period, beginning in April, 1968. Same with “Boogie Nights”–many viewings since 1997.

I don’t browse at all on mobile now.

I only use old.reddit on the desktop occasionally now. My Reddit usage has dropped by 80% now I think.
