hamster, in Have you ever had Detroit-style pizza?

Learn to make it yourself! It's not that bad. You can probably use premade pizza dough from the store or a local pizza shop.

Kolanaki, in What goes good with American Cheese?

White bread.

(Grilled cheese sandwiches)

Perrin42,

And tomato soup to dip it in.

aRegularNero, in Have you ever had Detroit-style pizza?

Detroiter here! If you’re ever in the detroit/metro detroit area, you gotta try Louie’s pizza or Detroit style pizza company. Both are amazing!

I’m local but haven’t heard of Louie’s, I’ll have to check it out.

zdrvr,

Louie’s is in fact the best. I wish I lived closer to it. I like Niki’s downtown too.

aRegularNero,

Hazel park is the one I’m usually going to. It’s definitely one of my favorites!

Joeyfingis, in Have you ever had Detroit-style pizza?

Absolute best I've had is from Wrecktangle Pizza in Minneapolis

learningduck, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I still use it for dinner subs that moved over to lemmy, but couldn’t grow much. Like 40klore.

Ubettawerk, in Have you ever had Detroit-style pizza?

Yes, it’s great and I enjoy it more than flatbread or thin crust. My fave is from Patxi’s in Santa Barbara, CA

001100010010, (edited ) in In which game did you spend the most hours?
@001100010010@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

Probably Planetside 2, an online MMOFPS game.

Next are probably: (Don’t know in which order)

FTL: Faster than Light (with Multiverse Mod)

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim

A small multiplayer game called “Red Crucible 2” (browser based FPS game that runs in Unity Plugin, game’s now dead)

GTA V

GTA IV

Note: I don’t have the times on these games because I might or might not have “downloaded” some of them outside of official stores… so its just based on how vividly I remember them.

BURN,

I used to love PS2. Fallen away over the years, but I have fond memories of being in 4 different team speaks at any given time relating messages. It was always a great time.

I’ve noticed a bunch of dev work has been done recently. Is it worth getting back into?

TeamDman, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

Only to check /r/canadapublicservants and /r/urf, otherwise I’m avoiding it. Unfortunately it still is often one of the best sites in search results

nymwit, in What goes good with American Cheese?

for the real processed stuff that comes individually wrapped, any place you need an instant melt cheese-turns-into-a-sauce sort of thing

PrivateNoob, in Be honest, do you still use reddit?

I do because there are a lot of valuable infos, but I 'm deliberately not voting and commenting.

marito, in In which game did you spend the most hours?
  1. RDR2 - 2,225 hours
  2. MGSV - 1,388 hours
  3. TW3 - 645 hours

I’m sure SMW is the real 3rd. place, but I don’t have the numbers.

Dalek_Thal, in You know any cool, lesser-known or even made up phrases?
@Dalek_Thal@aussie.zone avatar

Aussie here. A classic bit of slang is “I’m not here to fuck spiders”.

I also enjoy the word “nonosecond”, which is the moment immediately after you realise you’ve fucked up.

iliketurtles, in In which game did you spend the most hours?

I would guess I have multiple thousands of hours across the Halo and Pokemon series. My highest played steam game is dead by daylight (gross) at 1k hours. Deep Rock Galactic and PUBG are at around 500.

AlternateRoute, in I feel like /c/memes has taught us a valuable lesson today: Would it make sense to develop a feature to block a comm from our feed for a selectable unit of time (1 hour, 1 day, etc.)?

it isn’t just /c/memes looking at the global feed I felt like I was blocking meme related communities for a while yesterday.

I think the core app needs some simple text filters for communities and posts or hopefully some of the client apps will implement that a number of the meme subs at least have the word meme in their name.

Same could be said for NSFW subs, but we at least have a global toggle for those at if they have been correctly tagged.

NENathaniel, in In which game did you spend the most hours?

Quake Champions for sure. Best competitive shooter I’ve ever played (and I’ve tried all the popular ones), great option if you like movement & aim centric games
