Honestly? Something my little brother shared with me from our childhood. Apparently, it was during a hard time in his high school years. He came to me for advice, and what did I say?
“Life is pain. Get a helmet, Princess.”
I have no recollection of this, but he swears by it and says that it’s gotten him through some seriously rough times ever since, so I’ve started saying it to myself as well. Seems to work decently enough, and I like knowing that younger me had a supportive effect on the little bro like that. 🤗🥰
Butting in again to complain that most apps STILL auto-load images in comments with no way to disable it.
A travesty.
I want to move away from voyager, I really do. But I can’t as long because I just know someone will post that 720x38900px tall zelda fanart and ruin a whole thread. Or goatse.
I love Google maps but recently the “Recommendations” and “Reviews for things close by” gets annoying. It’s.becoming intrusive that I might switch to other service. I just want A to B direction, not “A to B and everything in between you might like.”
I feel like it depends on where you are. I used to travel a lot for work and Google maps would be less reliable than Here maps. Kept taking me to unpaved roads that no one used or like dead-ends. It was even more useless in a lot of third world countries I went to. They are really good at navigating around traffic and their POI data is way bigger than any other mapping solution.
But when it comes to my keyboard I like a bump with a solid bottom out, not a click.
Currently though I’ve got some damn fine clunky toggle switches for some electronic projects that are super overkill for the project but they clack so good.
One time on duckduckgo I found some search results that directed searches for an official product to a phishing site for that product. I contacted ddg on Twitter and they fixed the results very quickly which was nice.
