I actually unsubscribed from him about a year ago because his content became unwatchable. I was subscribed for a long time, I really like the dude and he does great stuff. Where he went wrong for me is pursuing a more aggressive release schedule, pushing out a lot of videos. This lead to the content being a bit lacking at times. Still good topics and perfectly produced, but really not very much info or depth.
He seemed to also be pushed to a certain video length, which led to a lot of filler. And by a lot I mean more than half of the video was filler. Maybe great for people with short attention spans, but repeating the same thing in slightly different wording 3+ times becomes annoying really fast. He was also not good at filler, using pretty much the same script and wording in each video. There is something to be said for style, but if I can predict 80% of the video word for word in advance, it loses incentive to watch.
Now I don’t blame him, he is just following the algorithm which is his job as a content creator. And some of the videos are really cool, especially on the rare occasion he does a bit of a deeper dive. And the dude knows his stuff, you just know he wants to tell more about some subjects, but doesn’t because it doesn’t fit in his video format and the audience he is targeting.
For me, I would put MVG in the used to be great, now is mediocre category.
If you cross the US Mexico boarder by land they don’t check your passport, but you’ll have a rough go of it if you don’t speak Spanish. Might still be better than staying in the US though. And since Spanish is a European language you’ll have an easier time than other countries
The first was an exchange student from Ecuador who attended my high school. She actually cried. The other time she told me she cried was when she started dreaming in English instead of Spanish.
The second was a girl I knew in college who had moved up from Florida to attend Ohio State. The first snow that year was that dry snow that blows around, but there was enough of it that everything was covered.
Walking back to our dorm, she kept gathering up handfuls, trying to make a snowball, and she asked if we could make a snowman. We told her it wouldn’t work because this is not snowman snow, and she was mystified. “There’s snowman snow??”
First time we had that good, heavy, wet, sticky snow, we took her out and made a 7-foot-tall snowman haha
I wonder what my sisters exchange students would have said if they had encountered snow on their visit. They were here during the summer, wearing jumpers and hoodies and still freezing…
In the most severe cases, alcohol withdrawal should be supervised by a medical professional because it’s actually possible to die from it. If you’d gone through full-blown worst-case alcohol withdrawal, you’d probably know it (and high BP would probably not be your most pressing concern). Maybe it’s possible to get a milder case of alcohol withdrawal from a lesser level of alcohol use? That’s pure speculation on my part, I can’t find any source one way or the other as most are devoted to withdrawal from heavy alcohol abuse. If I were in your shoes I’d monitor my BP for the next couple weeks and talk to a doctor if BP measurements aren’t trending downward over that time.

Oh god why is my subs list so long and there are still so many to list and I’m too tired and high after work rn maybe I’ll edit this later
I tried to go with people on my sub list that hadn’t been mentioned yet as well as the smaller ones to help boost em
Might just add a screenshot list to the post but it’d be long (and also have people on there I know I’ll get judged for cuz I’ve forgotten they’re even there by now lol)
Don’t take on debt if at all possible. If you use a credit card, try to pay it off each month. Don’t get one with annual fees. Get one that has cash back not miles or points.
Learn to make your own coffee instead of buying Starbucks or whatever. A decent hand grind will last for a decade and cost around $50. A no name pour over dripper and filters are a cheap way to make coffee at home. Buy beans and keep them in an air tight container and they will be good for a month.
This is a recipe that my grandma taught my while she was still alive and I’ll pass it on to my nonexistent children when they are old enough to drink coffee.
A no name pour over dripper and filters are a cheap way to make coffee at home.
Moka, French, and Turkish give you better results, don’t require disposable filters, are usually cheaper, and aside from Turkish don’t require experience to make good coffee.
I’m not sure if it’s considered streaming but I absolutely love Star Talk with Neil Degrasse Tyson. The guy is amazing at teaching stuff and a comedian co host is always a plus.
What always irked me about that show was that the actual science, like how things were found out and how certain we are in that assessment, is totally glossed over. It sounds more like two potheads philosophising on their couch. It might be entertaining, but you may run away with a severe lack of understanding.
