Uhh, you shouldn’t use “we” and try to be a voice of the majority of the “adults” group.
I don’t know your situation, but the majority is out there, outside your apartments, socializing.
Recently I watched and enjoyed Parks and Recreation and One Day at a Time (netflix series). Light hearted engaging content. Another recommendation: Schitt’s Creek.
A friend gives us validation, which could push us to do things we don’t want in some situations.
We can also be betrayed by a friend, and our outlook on life/perspectives shift into darker territory, particularly if you are isolated and stuff…
Someone you consider to be a friend may also not have your best interests at heart, or may have a completely wrong impression of you, and may not protect you from danger when you need it most.
Despite those, IMO friends are kind of essential from a mental health perspective - we’re social beings, isolation can bring out the worst in us. Whenever you come across someone that shares your values, keep them close 👍
Hamas is the organization that runs gaza. Theyre the largest political party in Palestine, they collect taxes, and they have an army. Imagine if the US Army was on the election ballot, and ran the East Coast.
Its essentially the same thing, just “Hamas/Israel” reminds you of what Hamas does, and “Gaza/Israel” is trying to erase that.
It connects my laptop to the internet when I’m away from home.
A phone can’t replace a computer unless you put Linux on it and connect a monitor and keyboard. Even then, it will perform like a 15 year old computer.
For 95+% of people, literally everything they would use a computer for personally can be done with a phone. Phones are also replacing a bunch of stuff in various job related fields. Why have a static computer with a barcode scanner when you can just mount a scanner to a phone and have it portable? Why have a giant beefy cash register when you can trivially swipe a card and accept contactless payments on a phone instead? They even print paper receipts with some of them, if you want one.
