I have the lowest possible plan, 3000 MB. Of this I on average use 150-200 when I need to or can be at the office. Now, a medical issue prevents me from commuting, so data usage is abour 20-30 MB. I don’t use to much data, as at home and at work I can use wifi. When visiting I don’t use data, as I’m visiting.
Something I’m also curious about (because of monopolies, we have the most expensive data in the world in Canada), how much does mobile data cost where you are? How much have you spent in total based on your usage?
I assume people have different habits in different parts of the world based on data prices
I have a small sim-only, 200 min/sms and 3000MB data a month. 2000 from the plan, 1000 because my wife has the same plan with the same provider. Now I’l limited to home I use about 20-30MB, my wife about the same. The plan is €7.50 a month. It’s the cheapest option with data here in the Netherlands.
I mean, it probably depends on how happy you are with your life.
Depending on how it works i'd probably just use time stop to lose less time from sleeping. There's a lot of ways to improve your life with time stop before ever delving into morals.
What most people fail to realize, though, is that if you used time stop to sleep you would certainly have more productive hours “awake” – but at the cost of reducing your remaining life span in the time-wise world by one third. You’d still be aging while you sleep.
Though I don't think that's too big a loss when you're using it to sleep. If you used time stop for something that was both exhausting and wasting your time, that'd probably be worse honestly.
It would certainly become noticeable after awhile since as you said, it's one third of your life.
These are fun things to speculate about, but ultimately I have no idea what I’d do if I suddenly had that kind of power. I might use it for good, or I might become a monster.
Shit like this is why lemmy isn’t growing. Not everyone is a programmer Linux fanatic leftist who supports communism and wants to see spam posts about Kissinger. So if you’re one of the people who downvoted this post or got upset, take a moment to consider why people are annoyed and if this is the kind of behavior and variety that’s going to help us grow.
Keep an eye out for when they do beta tests of exams. You'll get the cert for dirt cheap if you pass - we're talking £50.
There are two catches. The first is that some of the materials won't be covered in the existing books - the point of these is to update the contents. They do tell you the basic tech that will be covered though. If you have a solid understanding of them, you'll be fine.
The second is that you will be waiting MONTHS to get your result. I believe they wait until the exam you tested goes hold before giving you the cert. Last time, I waited something stupid like 6 months.
