Boost. I used Boost for Reddit, so this app for Lemmy feels very familiar.
I like how few taps it takes to switch accounts. I like how I can set my default feed and sort and it sticks where some other lemmy apps I tried frequently reset to a trending feed, gross.
I like the feature that allows me to apply a custom tag to users that only I can see. I use it to keep an eye on potential trolls. If I have a person tagged as “MAGA troll”, I know not to engage with them but to grab the popcorn and enjoy the ride.
There is a plant called cyperus zumula (cat grass) that you can buy for your cats to munch on. It’s not much but maybe they will prefer to eat that instead of trying to take a bite out of your cactus. Also place your plants higher up if you can, in a place where they have no way to jump up to.
I got my ragdoll that and instead of nibbling he took a whole mouthful, bit down, picked the whole thing up and wrung it around like a dog that just got a squirrel, he sprayed grass, seeds and dirt all over lol. He’s a bit of a bam bam.
put double faced tape at the base of the plant (or anything you dont want cat around) cat hate having their hair stuck… after a few days they wont touch that place anymore… you can take the tape of
I tried that one time. I went over budget and sent a really nice gift. I didn’t receive a gift myself. Then my recipient reported that I didn’t send a gift. I got banned.
After trying multiple apps to sort my budgeting situation. I finally decided to create a solution that involves default Numbers + a shortcut to add row to the end of sheet. Now that shortcut lives on my homescreen. This is by far the best personal budgeting solution I’ve used. And I put it all together in 20 minutes!
That’s a good use for Shortcuts, and this is a tiny bit off topic, but do yourself a solid and check out MoneyStats on the AppStore before you settle on that. Just take a peeksie.
It does all that + tells you how much is in any account at any time as long as the data is accurately entered/maintained, among a few other things.
Yup. Samsung sold smartwatches that promised an upcoming ECG feature to have it only available when connected to a Samsung phone when it came out, but not other Android phones. They also try and force you to put their TVs on your network so they can track everything you do. Never again.
You’re not missing out on much. I stopped using the ecg feature on the Samsung watches when it gave me an AFib warning and I went to a doctor about it. They hooked me up to an EKG and said I was fine and looked at the chart my watch generated and said the chart there also looked fine. I put on both my apple watch and galaxy watch and was measuring both at the same time and the apple watch gave out either high heart rate (I just got back from a walk) or inconclusive meanwhile the galaxy watch fired off another false AFib warning.
