I wonder if Watterson has seen the Hobbes and Bacon strips, and if so, whether his response is positive, negative, mixed, or neutral. Given his elusive nature, we may never know…

I always liked in the Sunday strips the first couple panels that seemed to be a joke on their own and seemingly had nothing to do with the rest of the strip until the last panel.
