Oh, so that’s what it is about…

creditCrazy,
@creditCrazy@lemmy.world avatar

Ok so basically there’s this guy who always has one cup of punch whenever he goes out to party’s. He never ever gets a refill ever. Anyways everyone calls him one punch man because hes like really strong and kills everyone with one punch.

lambda,
@lambda@programming.dev avatar

Thanks, I already read it :P

I’ve been meaning to check it out, but I guess now I don’t have to.

AnonTwo,

Tells you everything you need to know in the first panels

can,

It’s really good

errer, in "Deck the Malls" by LoadingArtist

I don’t get it.

Player2,

At first the person thought it was an earlier month, and upon looking at a calendar they realize that they also thought it was an earlier year.

Same. ,’(

CitizenKong, in "Deck the Malls" by LoadingArtist

Wow, a calendar that automatically shortens the description of the month when you’re further away, fancy!

x4740N, (edited )
@x4740N@lemmy.world avatar

That might actually be possible in the fire if flexible e-paper becomes a thing, just need to figure put where to put the electronics

Edit:

You could also just set up a regular e-paper / e-ink display in a frame as well and have it display a calender and just integrate the electronics into the frame

dojan,

Couldn’t you possibly do it with prisms? Like those holographic cards and such that show different things from different angles.

rowinxavier,

Yeah, the way they work is based on your eyes seeing two slightly different images because of the difference in their angle to the prisms. By having one image, the full name of the month, shown through the widely diverging angle made when you are closer and a second image, the short version, shown when the diverging angle is more acute you could have the two options visible. Everything in between would be a bit of a crapshoot though, with a muddy mix of both. Your brain likes to figure out images that can make sense, but text can be very weird and in situations like this it would probably be very muddy and more distracting than cool.

kamenlady,
@kamenlady@lemmy.world avatar

Or the reason for being cool for some. It really depends on your viewpoint, both of them.

makyo,

That kind of thing will all be doable and everywhere when/if AR is as widespread as smart phones are.

lowleveldata, in "Deck the Malls" by LoadingArtist

I know right? It’s totally 2010 last year

Viking_Hippie,

And every year of the 90s is 10 years ago. Always.

kamenlady,
@kamenlady@lemmy.world avatar

I’m getting into an age, where my experienced decades are becoming an abstract blur and every year more conscious that i am now in the far far future i fantasized about, when i was young.

It changes perspectives and expectations of what’s to come.

Yeah, pretty disappointed… On one hand the computer dream came true and surpassed my expectations, but on the other hand everything else went down the hill and hasn’t even reached the bottom yet.

Fleming did not provide Bond’s date of birth, but John Pearson’s fictional biography of Bond, James Bond: The Authorized Biography of 007, gives Bond a birth date on 11 November 1920,[13] while a study by John Griswold puts the date at 11 November 1921

Huh, learned something too!

Great, so you’re saying the universe will shoot the cat I found out of cannon. It saves me having to do it

blahsay, in ‘Santa draws 2023 - 3-6’ [OC]

Is this part of the war on Xmas?!!? Traditional values mean it’s not Xmas till someone falls off Nakatomi tower.

CustardFist,
@CustardFist@feddit.nl avatar

I consider myself somewhat of a anti-traditionalist. Everybody always defaults to Die Hard, yet First Blood did it years earlier. Bط

Great comics btw 👍

Hah! Nice comics! Gotta love the attention to detail with all the elves, that little nut puncher is quite the bastard.

Haha. Thanks. I named him Rocky. :ط

Decoy321,

It’s quite fitting! If you ever bring him back, I’ll hear the theme song in my head while reading

I don’t recall approving my appearance in this comic - I am lodging a complaint to the Internet authorities!
