WagnasT, in xkcd: Language Acquisition

THESE WORDS ARE ACCEPTED.

bss03,

Is that a stormlight archive reference?

TheActualDevil,

It’d be so much weirder if it wasn’t.

praise_idleness, in xkcd: Language Acquisition

I wish my future child would send remote log for easy management.

If he ever sends a 404, hopefully he just returns on all fours.

Twist: he knows more than 12 words, he just didn’t learn the right number

MeDuViNoX, in xkcd: Language Acquisition
@MeDuViNoX@sh.itjust.works avatar

Who learns twelve before one through eleven?

Johanno,

Is twelve a number or a word?

Grippler,

There is only a distinction when written, when spoken everything is words.

Hupf,

It’s in a superposition of states until observed.

Yes

joemo,

The first few updates must have been riveting 😂.

otter, in xkcd: Language Acquisition

Didnt’ forget this time!

Hopefully I did that correctly

dootytf, in Ha! Look at them! [Nate Inc.]

what changed their minds about the clown?

OR3X, in It's always nice to have someone who's a good listener [The Square Comics]

Walmart REALLY listens. I bought a few groceries IN STORE and about two weeks later I got an email with a list of items I purchased and links to review them. Now, I know what you’re thinking, but I’m not enrolled in their loyalty program, and I don’t have their app installed on my phone. The only way I can figure they linked my purchase to my email address is because I have previously logged into their website on my phone (via the browser) and of course my phone was with me during my shopping trip. That’s some creepy shit.

IWantToFuckSpez, in It's always nice to have someone who's a good listener [The Square Comics]

The last speech bubble should have been on the third panel

fckreddit, in "Expectation" by They Can Talk

I remember seeing a Tiger on a safari, basically sleeping like this. I can imagine them thinking like this…

Bipta,

A tiger in a safari?

DragonTypeWyvern,

The term “African safari” was used to tell you the specific destination. “Safari” as a general term can include any expedition to hunt or observe animals.

You could have an American safari if you were from outside of the Americas, for example. Or an Indian safari, Australian safari, etc etc etc it’s defined by the purpose and length of travel, not by going to Africa.

sag, in Haha, I'm in danger! [IrregularGalaxyDudes]

F*cking Gitlab moment

smeg,

You’re allowed to say “fucking” on the internet

LetterboxPancake,

Yeah, that was extremely funny, but I had nothing stored there at that moment. I guess some gitlab administrator lost twenty pounds in sweat that day.

can, in Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal - Generation

I’m even into heterocyclic compounds.

Sotuanduso, in Haha, I'm in danger! [IrregularGalaxyDudes]

Wasn’t there some saying about if you’re in a server room, the calmer the “Oops,” the worse the problem?

LetterboxPancake, in Haha, I'm in danger! [IrregularGalaxyDudes]

Forget coffee, this will wake you up. There’s nothing like dropping the wrong database scheme on a lazy Monday morning.

Bonehead,

If you can, always set the title of whatever window you're working on to capital bold letters, preferably red, saying PRODUCTION SERVER - DON'T FUCK IT UP. This has saved my dumbass a few times when I looked up before hitting enter.

LetterboxPancake,

I use IntelliJ for this and my prod connection is red, has warning symbols and it’s read only. I can switch on write mode if necessary, but it will prompt for it. Saves me a lot of stress.

Staple_Diet, in "Lord of the Underworld" by War and Peas

Isn’t this the narrative of the cat in Sabrina?

And King from owl house

Dagwood222, in It's important to find what you're good at.

There’s a book called ‘Discover What You’re Best At,’ by Linda Gail.

I can’t recommend it enough. Fir years I thought i hated working. Turns out that working a job you’re actually suited for is pretty great.
