I have the same issue. The controls are there, but they’re black and so is the background.

This video is quite dark in the bottom right corner, but if you zoom in on a lighter video, you’ll see the controls there.

Might be useful to specify the exact version number. Not everyone receives updates at the same time, and future releases will render the “latest” statement false.

Gifs don’t have audio BTW… I mean true gifs, not what is being shared as webm online.

IDK if the player in Connect is integrated or not. In Jerboa, it just uses whatever browser you have set up as the default one and uses the integrated media player in the browser.

Hi, I’ve updated the controls to be white on the most recent version. Previously it would depend on light/dark mode. Thanks for the feedback!

now it seems links doesn’t open anymore like it used to. if I click on the image of a post it used to open link.

I’ll take a look! Is this for all images or specific images? What happens when you open an image?

Thanks, it’s when I click the thumbnail for a post that is a link to it opens the image instead of opening the link as it used to.

Edit: it’s on a tablet if it makes a difference

Ok thank you that is helpful. I think I see what’s going on (this is the breaking image lemmy.zip/…/aa9afd51-0d2e-492e-b485-74e9d0a852c2.… but this works lemmy.zip/…/aa9afd51-0d2e-492e-b485-74e9d0a852c2.… so I’m guessing Pictrs doesn’t like when I’m specifying the webp format on images already in that format). Should be fixed in the next release (tomorrow).

My hero. Thanks! I’ve been using the web interface for a few weeks because Scaled is just such a better choice. I’d even go so far as to suggest making it the default for all apps and servers. :)

I think that has to do with 0.19.0 update from lemmy, this update changed the api, so you need to re-login.
