Way back in 2003, I had a school project partner over to do some work on a project. They had a floppy that was infected with some malicious stuff and had planned to utterly trash my computer with it. I only found out at a later date because some guys were asking me questions about my computer, and someone spilled the beans whenever they realised that my computer wasn’t infected and was indeed still functioning completely fine…
I get better performance from the release version than from ESR. The ESR version in Debian has always been slower than the release version for me. Especially on YouTube.
Not op, but nothing significant IMO unless you’re a web developer (in which case it’s worth considering using the dev edition instead) or just want the latest features.
The ESR on Debian gets updated reasonably frequently with backported security patches and bug fixes
Not all security issues get CVEs. Thats only the security parts. Its old as balls, and Firefox never had any breaking bugs for me, thats the “old as balls” part
Jokes aside. christian ubuntu honestly looks really interesting. Mainly the parental controls I wonder if they’ll package it all separate to run on any distro out there could be useful for some folk
