Depends on how fast you toss it in there. LOL.

Must be a pandemic! Me too! And everyone I know too!

SquareBear, in Delicious!

Not enough cholesterol

RedditWanderer, in Need to make more money 😩

Oh shit! Thats I need money, god damn!. When we first met-up, he wrote on a slip of paper “I NEED MONEY”, I said “shit, me too!”. We started making it together after that.

Fifty years later “Fred who?”

Kit, in Need to make more money 😩

I feel this. It’s kind of addicting to chase a bigger paycheck. I actually talk about it a lot in therapy and it’s been helpful.

Zacryon,

Yeah, I guess making more money is helpful to finance a therapy. /j

HenriVolney, in rust 😋😋😋

Nail soup!

gareins, in If you only criticize civilian casualties when Palestine resists, then your concern isn't civilian casualties. Your concern is Palestine resisting massacre.

I love conflicted podcast. Condensed: fuck organizers of these attacks (likely iran) just before historic peace treaties in the region. They knew fully well what would the response be.

trailing9, in There's a reason they went to war over Helen of Troy

Technically, shouldn’t there be no reason to go to war?

Bonehead,

As bonobos have shown us, there's no need (or time) for war if we just constantly fuck.

dragnucs, in Can't all be so gifted

Sooo … How did they do it? Not with ramps. Not with triangular cranes. Not with aliens, so much is for sure, but how? Tell me.

jandar_fett,

Wet sand, along with pulleys and lots and lots of man power, and using the Nile to float stones from upstream to the building site. More complicated than that, but yeah.

lorty,
@lorty@lemmy.ml avatar

Why couldn’t it have been ramps?

sagrotan,
@sagrotan@lemmy.world avatar

They actually don’t really know how they did it, there are the voices that say ramps would’ve been so enormous that they wouldn’t have been practical in a realistic sense: www.cheops-pyramide.ch/…/pyramid-theories.htmlThere are supporters of the lever theory, even several different methods depending on the progress of the construction: en.wikipedia.org/…/Egyptian_pyramid_construction_…But as I understand it as a complete layman ( my only qualification would be that my ex girlfriend was an egyptoligist) that the more they examine it, the more voices raise against a solely ramp method. The old egyptian were highly pragmatic & efficient, so I’ve heard, and the stones were gigantic, sand ramps are at least partly unpredictable & sand is not the stiffest construction material - sooo, I don’t really know & as far as I know, science doesn’t either, at least no exhaustive answer. So far
