To be fair, it was the largest cavalry charge in history. Between 30 and 40000 horsemen charging is insane. To put that into a comprehendible context, the charge of the rohirim you see in the Return of the King had 5000 horses. The largest charge in the Napoleonic wars (iirc) was Murats desperation charge at the battle of Eylau with 11000 cavalry, which somewhat won the day and is considered one of the great cavalry charges in history.
This charge was 3 to 4 times larger. It was truly a hurricane of vengeance.
similarly, it really irritates when people tiptoe around giving ‘medical advice’ online or scold people for asking mental health questions in a forum – which is designed for people to commiserate and share advice. ‘the doctor’ is inaccessible to many people for many reasons; it’s way less of a challenge to get out sensitive thoughts by typing online to peers vs asking A Doctor and getting a Professional Reply about it
Our third shift is all maintenance, no production, do they do their preventative stuff and nothing really happens. 1st comes in to a well lubricated factory, promptly fucks everything up and passes their problems on to second.
Here’s one I know a few of you will be familiar with: 1st breaks a machine and can’t run product leaving it for night. Night fixes the machine and runs the orders but has to re-break the machine before 1st comes in or risk getting fired for fixing it and being productive.
