Could be that it’s in quotation marks because the second wave isn’t over yet, thus it’s not actually a third wave. In which case they are using them correctly.

That seems to make it more likely that it’s not a coincidence though, particularly since while Marvel Groot existed, he was still very obscure. I can see Moorcock slipping the line in, and even giving the character that name so he could slip the line in, just for a bit of amusement.
“Groot” is also the Dutch cognate to the English word “great”.
There are plenty of Dutch words and names that are close enough to English to sound really funny to English-speakers. Like, Vroom is a real Dutch surname, but to American kids that’s the sound a cool car makes.
(In one of the Baroque Cycle books, Neal Stephenson needed a name for a Dutch shipwright who built really fast sailing ships. Who else could it be but Jan Vroom?)
In all likelihood, it’s rated for direct food contact on both sides, like the stickers on fresh fruit; you’re meant to be able to safely eat them (although you may not want to).
I don’t think it was that - the way they wrap it is very quick and professional looking. The texture was nice in particular - a warm parcel of newspaper. Idk.
Almost 2 weeks ago I found a wall lizard inside a pool. Poor baby was so scared (maybe tired) that he didn’t even flinch. I caught him, and placed him on a wall near the pool. I love nature! However, I also hate spiders. So, we are not perfect. And although I am ashamed to admit it, if I find a spider inside my home, I will squish that little fucker.
Funnily enough I dont mind spiders. Tho i’ve never dealt with a poisonous one so maybe thatd change my opinion. The lil ones I know theyre gonna be in their nests just eating bugs
I think a lot of amphibians are seen as cute because of their smooth, rounded features. There are some gnarly looking toads out there that probably don’t get the same love.
I enjoy seeing them all, but I also grew up in Florida where they were everywhere. Plus, they’re great for pest control, so I’ve always enjoyed having them around for that.
