In order to develop and effective risk mitigation plan we would need to study many beavers and assess what are SFW, and what are not, following on by studying the effect these so called NSFW beavers would have on a person, in both the short and long term.

I’m apparently the second subscriber. I’ve been curious about this game; people describe it as “Pokémon with guns”, but what interests me is “Pokémon minus The Pokémon Company and GameFreak”. If they release a Linux version and are able to deliver a good singleplayer experience (I bloody hate multiplayer) I’m sold.
Currently playing it on my Steam Deck. Proton handles it pretty well, performance is alright if you lock it to 30, and the controls all work, even with correct button prompts
Honestly I would describe it as Ark-lite. It has base building/taming and that’s pretty fun, and you can also get random encounters at your base. The leveling system is a bit grindy. There are dungeons and bosses in the world to go find and explore. The map is huge, I think I’ve hardly explored a tenth of it.
Been playing about 15 hours or so and enjoyed it, but the game is definitely early access. I’ve had a number of crashes, fell through the world a few times, etc. I’d give it a month or two if that bothers you.
Single player is fun if you like to play survival crafting games alone. “Pokémon with guns” is not actually a very good description. It’s a monster capturing game, and the creatures are cartoony like Pokémon, but it’s a third person survival crafting game. No turn based elements or choosing monster move sets or anything like that.
It’s more like Ark with Pokémon instead of dinosaurs
Palworld is better with friends because I have good friends but the game doesn’t get twice as hard and frustrating when you’re alone. I enjoy games that encourage coordination and teamwork , but I think that kind of gameplay would be out of place in such a whimsical world.
And depending on your client, that opens up your Mail client if you have yet to interact with the community. The best thing the creator of the community and this post can do is post within their community so people can go to their profile and find the community that way.

There are voices, and actions that reddit has silenced that should be given back a voice again. Reddit has been doing very bad things and sweeping them under the rug. This will give people a chance to find out about what reddit is trying to hide from the public.

Reddit is what we call corpo media (controlled by a single entity, autocratic, closed source, influential over millions of people) and therefore is part of the problem.
I think its not necessarily reddits demise that will make the world a better place but the destruction of all corpos that keep us in wageslavery, pit the left against the right just to extract more money.

For some people, watching something they hate fail is pleasurable, even if they understand it's not a person who will feel shamed by their eyes and instead a corporation that is much more likely than a human to benefit from the negative attention. Getting that schadenfreude rates a little higher for some individuals than what they perceive as contributing just a tiny little bit to it by giving it attention. And sometimes, negative attention isn't always going to benefit a company.

yea, maybe, but the admin of lemm.ee has been very open and responsible in their administration of the instance. If they decided to walk I think it likely they’d hand things over to anyone willing to take up the reins.

I haven’t seen anything. Hopefully nothing tragic happened. Otherwise, there’s obviously a bit of scope for this, for a single admin to just walk.
I think as communities/instances get to be more of a big deal, we as users should ask for multiple admins and moderators and multiple contact points (eg a mastodon account) so that there are fail safes and clear signals. So, if a single admin walks, there’s someone else with the keys. Or at least if the instance goes dark we have the alternative contact to at least get a signal about what’s happening.

I was under the impression that (at least in the US) scammers don’t reveal any real phone numbers with Caller-ID. That they just chose random numbers with your area code and similar exchange digits to try and convince you it’sa let local call (like you drs office or whatever you may be waiting on). Is that not true?

Turns out there’s a bug in the client I’m using and it wasn’t showing the comment about anti-intellectualism. All the comments I could see were replies to that comment that I couldn’t see, so I assumed they were replies to OP.
I really hope this takes off. I was on r/HailCorporate on reddit, and it really lost its steam at some point. People often feel uncomfortable closely examining how we can unwittingly spread advertising. I know I do, try as I might to be cognizant of this.
I have run into too many instances of billionaire defenders on lemmy.world and kbin.social for this community NOT to exist. I get into strange arguments (where, from my perspective, I am just defending common sense or open standards) with frothing fascist, astroturfing fanbois about their chosen billionaire and I felt like I had nowhere to go, “look at this fucking corporate cuck”. ;)
