May I stress that Canadians are a terrible testing ground. We are a beaten down nation of gougees, Americans and elsewhere might not be so placid about this. (Did American netflix already crack down on password sharing?)

The AI image checkers are of course great evidence and never return false positives, but just to be sure I'd like to see whether the image sinks or floats when thrown in a pond.

I think Netflix would simply see that as a nice extra benefit. But the main reason is to “stick it” to the writers/actors. Without incurring the wrath of customers for the price hike themselves, they will just point their finger…
It depends who you want to keep it private from. If the answer is from Facebook, then use Signal, but this should still help if your device ends up in the wrong hands.
