Hi, some years ago (2019) I purchased landscaping program ‘Punch! Deck & Landscape’ from punchsoftware.com. I wanted to install it on new computer but on-line registration of license key failed....

today i woke up to problems logging in lemmy.ml, i was logged out from all my apps, any attempts of logging in in apps and via web were failing without any meaningful message, only jerboa told me im banned, so yeah, a message while logging in or an email would be nice...

On average if I make a post on Mastodon whether I get a comment, and a continued conversation is either hit or miss....

I got a DVD, never used with cellophane intact, produced in 1993 on ebay. I thought maybe, since I didn’t get a DRM warning, it predated DRM, and I could just copy it to my hard drive, so I did. Both the copy and the DVD are now corrupted and unplayable. I want to fix the DVD then rip it to my hard drive. Googling gives plenty...

I’m wondering how are all those different Lemmy instances financed? I know some rely on donations, but is that all and is that sustainable?

So…I have an…interesting behavior I’ve never had before with an Nvidia or integrated intel chipsets…I have now my AMD card plugged both to a normal HDMI monitor, and then to another HDMI TV. Both work well. However, when I turn the TV off… The monitor will start flickering. About three flickers every minute or so....

I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 (2018) smartphone which currently has the stock Samsung Android OS installed on it. I wanted to install an Android “distro” that doesn’t spy on me, like Graphene OS, but I couldn’t find a ROM for it. Since I would probably need to compile AOSP from source code anyways, I though, why not install...

I’ve been on and off been having issues connecting to seeds and peers for anything I download with qbit lately. I have ProtonVPN and I am connected to p2p servers, some torrents are stuck at 0(0) whereas some will be stuck at 0(2817)....

just need something to do light development (docker, python, rust, with an ide). something i can upgrade (ram, ssd minimum). laptop would best, but desktop works too...
