Well that sounds very bad. Giving the president emergency power to shut down the border? When does that expire? What conditions are required for it to be executed? Does it mean that Americans can’t leave or come home too? This doesn’t sound good at all to me. I really dislike that every administration rules through emergency and executive orders now, instead of legislating intelligent and long-term solutions.
That might be why it was added to the curriculum at first, but that’s certainly not why it stayed, nor why we did it at my school. It’s a pretty fun activity too, so a good use of that PE time.
Lots of people are. Real Debrid is the shit! It’s about $2.80 per month for the ability to stream pretty much everything. But ads? Nah, man. There are ads on the torrent sites, but none on streaming. Pirates are pretty ad-adverse.
You all remember just a few weeks ago when Sony ripped away a bunch of movies and TV shows people “owned”? This ad is on Amazon. You can’t “own” it on Prime. You can just access it until they lose the license. How can they get away with lying like this?
“Conservatives” haven’t wanted to conserve anything in a very long time. They want to prop up the rich with government subsidies, hurt the poor, control the women, and hopefully kill some sick people along the way. That’s a damned far sight from conserving traditional American values.
Frodo was the best of them, but he was carrying a great burden, so we saw him during an internal fight for his very soul, not as his usual self. Frodo was chosen to carry the ring because his pure and generous heart was the least influenced by its power, and it still almost consumed him.
It’s the worst mobile website I’ve ever seen, which is impressive considering Facebook and Reddit have been intentionally breaking their mobile websites for years now.
He would fence off the trees, and lobby his local government to require permits for picking apples, permits that have an issuing limit that somehow coincides with the number of apple stands he has. Picking apples without a permit would result in a fine of $10,000, or a year in jail.
Brandon Sanderson and Tim Patrick Rothfuss started signing each other’s books for awhile too. I read that Sanderson signs his and Rothfuss books at the airport bookstore when he’s traveling. I managed to find a few signed Sanderson books at the airport bookstore in SLC when I flew through there for a connecting flight once. I still have them on my bookshelf. No cross-signings though.
My wife and I were planning to have kids in 2020. We had already started the process in 2019. Then covid happened. Then people hoarded toilet paper during a respiratory pandemic that doesn’t even affect your bowels. Then supply lines shut down. Then forest fires raged out of control across the country, turning the skies into red ash. Then protests and riots broke out across the country. All the while trump was happening about eleventy billion times. Ultimately we got a master class on how fucking ridiculous this world has become. We decided never to have kids. We’re already middle aged, so that’s it for us. It’s too late now. We occasionally consider adopting, but that’s a whole other bag of cats.
The transphobic accusations are wild. He is incredibly supportive of transexuals, openly voicing his support on Facebook and Reddit all the time. That kind of goes to show how heavily weaponized and dishonest those types of bigotry accusations have become. I do think he complains an awful lot for a guy who has lived a charmed life, but from everything I’ve seen, he’s an open-minded, progressive, liberal, accepting, and loving person. He’s definitely the kind of person who should be considered an ally to the LGBTQ+ communities.
Nick Cage reached a level of Hollywood success that few can accomplish. Then he was like, “meh, I’ve already won. I’m going to go back to accepting every role that comes my way”.
