Disney is gouging customers with a near doubling of subscription costs. (sh.itjust.works)

Disney is raking its customers over the coals with a 75% price hike for their annual subscription (originally $80.) People wonder why piracy is on the rise.Multiple commenters are saying I’m off base about the 75% price increase. My payment less than a year ago was $79.99. Here’s the proof.

CmdrShepard,

That’s a singular product not a service. You might get an interesting debate by posting about something like the Xbox Game Pass vs pirating a bunch of games.

CmdrShepard,

People mess this one up alot.

CmdrShepard,

I think “take away” is valid too. “To take away” just sounds odd.

CmdrShepard,

I agree with the other person that it is one of my favorites as it’s one of the only movies to ever actually creep me out (though not a fan of the ending) as I feel horror should.

My wife is a big horror fan, and I can say that a majority of the ones I’ve seen with her are extremely predictable and rely on cheap tricks like jump scares most of the time, so outside of campy horror stuff or classics that I grew up with, it just doesn’t do anything for me.

CmdrShepard,

Honestly the best and easiest solution is to just download them from the internet. You can queue up your entire collection using radarr/sonarr and then come back to a bunch of sorted and renamed files ready to watch on your media server.

CmdrShepard,

OP’s mom is coming for a visit.

CmdrShepard,

Now OP needs to create a 20x sized washing machine.

CmdrShepard,

What if they’re 20 Russian nesting doll pieces?

CmdrShepard,

Don’t forget to grab some pho for the morning after. This is the holy trifecta.

CmdrShepard,

I try to avoid ibuprofen or Tylenol as they’re hard on the liver and kidneys which are already working overtime to flush the alcohol out of your system.

CmdrShepard,

I used to really enjoy the Discover Weekly lists but for the past few years it just pushes what sounds like AI generated music. It’s like a bunch of covers of popular music done by people I’ve never even heard of (who probably cost Spotify less $ per play). I’ve had better luck with stuff like Spot-a-like recommending new/similar music that I actually might like.

CmdrShepard,

Spotify has bought out some podcasts and injected their own ads into them. You can tell which ones these are because the “now playing” bar switches from the podcast to the title of the ad. I find I’m unable to skip these in my car with my infotainment controls too which has lead to me unsubscribing from some of them.

CmdrShepard,

“Child free” just sounds like people who don’t want kids. “Anti-natalism” sounds like people who don’t want kids to exist at all.
