What is your unpopular flim opinion

I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds

I hate Deadpool because it got to use thunderstruck by ac/dc rather than the bridge scene in Thor Ragnarok where it would’ve been equally badass, and much better than a third iteration of Zeppelins immigrant song.

Dude I cannot understand the love that movie gets. Even the “scientifically accurate” go-to gets under my skin. I don’t know what it was going for, but it bristles my skin when I see discussion about how great it is.

If you take the middle 15 minutes (return home to rave) scene out of the second matrix movie, I’m convinced it makes the entire trilogy 10x better.

I found a few movies that I genuinely enjoy that make the (or made at the time this was written and I tried it) bottom quartile. Malibu’s most wanted and “the crew” are movies I don’t skip by (but also never see any more :( ) basically ‘organized crime by the inept’ movies tickle me the right way

“The rock” is one of the great films of the 90s, if not top 10 ever made.

Donnie darko and the fifth element are terribly overrated. Films made to make teenagers think they’re deeper than they are.

The Hobbit films (and the rings of power) aren’t the worst thing to happen to the Lord of the rings.

Dude, with my generic af taste you think I’m rolling anything besides windows 7? (Windows 7 on my main work rig, trying to get I.t. to upgrade it, Windows XP on my backup rig. Legacy systems f.t.(killmeplease)w. At home I rock an Asus and a Dell, Windows 10 and 11.

I’d rather have it be known why I’ve edited my message, rather than leave people to question if I’d edited the body or meaning of my message. In my case it’s an accredited science lab thing, but I imagine lots of corporate and legal professionals do the same.

I know a secret spot in the green of that map (not in the top half) where houses are less than 500k. But your children will kill themselves (driving) trying to get away from it (literally at least once a year while I was growing up), because it’s so damn boring.

Since I left I’ve heard it’s only gotten worse. The definition of agriculture/commuter town. It didn’t have to be that way but an explosion in the 80s on the other side of the country destroyed it’s hopes for prosperity.

Did they finally kill sobe? I used to chug that stuff as a kid, tried one a few years ago, not sure if it was always that sweet, or it went the way of most good indie (that was bought up by conglomerates) beverage distributors.
