Lemmy is the nerdiest part of Reddit, my guy.

They walk among us.

Idiots do. One party has a 100% concentration of morons though.

Have you properly considered joining a radical militia?

DragonTypeWyvern, to upliftingnews in Denver experimented with giving people $1,000 a month. It reduced homelessness and increased full-time employment, a study found.

The hardest jobs I’ve had have all been the lowest paying.

Higher paying jobs tend to have higher entry requirements but it also means the employer actually values you (like, literally places a high monetary value on you because at the end of the day that is what capitalism demands)

This idea that low paying jobs are easy is wrong. Being replaceable makes you vulnerable to exploitation and abuse.

DragonTypeWyvern, to memes in Why can't we get our shit together?

Might want to look up what “universal” means.

DragonTypeWyvern, (edited ) to starwarsmemes in Welp, Saturday's here. Time to get drunk and watch Zach Snyder's Rebel Moon, I suppose

I typed out a huge rant in response to this, absolutely hating that series for reasons I can’t get started on without spiraling into an unhinged rant again, and decided that was way too negative a response for some casual excitement about an upcoming series.

All I’ll say instead is I hope the show is better about staying on theme than the novels were.

And, hey, best case scenario?

We finally get a good Definitely-Not-Space-Marines show.

DragonTypeWyvern, to lemmyshitpost in Someone didn't think out the implications.

You will find that there are many, many people involved in the music industry not being paid fair wages.

There are theoretical means to accumulate billions as an artist purely from the distribution of your own work but she certainly isn’t using them.

That Miss Marvel show didn’t appeal to me because it was clearly a coming of age story made for young teens.

Most of the time when an animal stares at the wall it’s because it can hear bugs or rodents :)

Dungeons and Dragons stuff.

If you were to find an empty room there’s a decent chance there’s something invisible in it, from a metagaming perspective, because why waste the players’ time like that?

In ye olde editions traps and ambushes were way more common so a certain set of paranoid behaviors became standard practice. One of the ways of dealing with illusion magic is by disbelieving it, so a simply paranoid party could get advantage to dispelling illusions by saying they don’t believe what they they see, in theory.

However, just because the DM is out to get you doesn’t mean you aren’t a basket case.
