I find that i can spot AI Images fairly easily these days, especially the sort of fantastical tableaus that get posted to the various AI communities around lemmy. I’m tired of seeing them; it all looks the same to me. Was wondering if im being too sensitive, or if other people are similarly bored of the constant unimaginative...
I don’t enjoy it. And I see issue with many of the big AI companies but I don’t object to people posting AI art if that brings them pleasure in this world of ours. I just block the dedicated AI art communities, and let them continue as they were.
I might love a part and strongly dislike the other part of a post or comment. Why can’t I both upvote and downvote? Double tap for a conflicted situation? Why am I restricted to the net of my opinions?...
The joke is that he loves talking to women so much he fantasizes about it during sex. Which is humorous because the conventional wisdom displayed in the left side would indicate the inverse would be true. Happy to help.
You could do what Mike Bloomberg did in 2020 and try and buy your way into an election. Then again when he spent $500,000,000 on his campaign that got him no where.
Seeing the other post here about YouTuber that went downhill and seeing content creators I am familiar with makes me sad. But how about those that still makes great, high quality content?
I’ll go first. Mine is that I can’t stand the Deadpool movies. They are self aware and self referential to an obnoxious degree. It’s like being continually reminded that I am in a movie. I swear the success of that movie has directly lead to every blockbuster having to have a joke every 30 seconds
Thanks, to be clear I don’t dislike the original. It does a lot of stuff good, like world building. But 2049 is actually structured with acts and has a main character who develops throughout the film.
I mean the other 2 countries, Canada and Mexico, how similar are both of them to United States?? Both countries have a similar economy and democracy etc, and I think those two countries share things like supermarkets, stores, etc. I suppose the cultural differences are not a lot, that is very nice.
We have more progressive things like universal healthcare, decent public education. The US really seems intent on not having those because, as I see it, they don’t want black people to have it.
The American k-12 education system is varied in quality based on the municipality.
Im curious as I usually use the site very occasionally to get certain electronic parts or order from PCBway like I just picked up some cheap but infinitely better than stock gps antennas for my LoRa T beams and im about to get a set of also still cheap but much better than stock 915mhz antennas but i kinda wanna throw some other...
If you 3D print, heat inserts. You can use them to insert metal threads into a printed object with a soldering iron to allow you to use standard machine screws in projects.
Ask Lemmy is a place to ask thought provoking questions. The mods have been lenient with some of the recent posts on the basis that they must provoke thought for some people, but after seeing two posts essentially saying “what do you think of my stick?”, I believe we can raise the bar a bit on what kind of thoughts we want...
Both should be welcome. Especially with the current state of Lemmy (low user base), over moderation can be a real thing.
More narrowly tailored communities have narrower appeal and Q&A communities function off of their number of users.
This is one reason why on Reddit r/AskReddit (44M) has more users than r/AskMen (5.8M). And why r/AskMen has more users than r/AskMenOverThirty (458K).
I think they meant that they dont attribute either brevity to the level of not conveying a point effectively or verbosity to the point of eroding interest as being particularly good means of communication.
Outside cat / feral cats have had massive negative impacts on bird and small mammal populations. Particularly in areas where they fill an ecological niche that the wildlife hasn’t adapted to due to none of the local fauna being in that niche. Hawaii and Australia in particular have this problem.
Other commenter touched on one definition so I’ll explain the other.
Take a bunch of pictures of the woods, put them in a computer and have it tell you the most common colors to generate the a pattern of the most commonly found colors. Boom digital woodland camo.
Police say a 2-year-old girl who walked away from her home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula with two family dogs was found hours later asleep in the woods using one of the canines as a furry pillow.
