Is this nothing but a joke to you? We’re trying to build a hostile community of left leaning, Linux loving, stock photo meme consumers and you come on here with this? Thanks.
This is where the US steps in. I regularly eat about a weeks worth of carbs and cheese and then hit up my favorite Indian and Mexican joints and proceed to apologize to my Japanese toilet.
I stress about the whole damn pole. If you showed me a picture of a traffic 🚦 on pole, and asked me what it was, I would say “a traffic light” not “a traffic loght and a traffic light pole”
I mean is the pole that the traffic light is on considered part of the traffic light? Those two pixels of motorcycle handlebars in that one square that is otherwise just pavement? Am I supposed to click in them? Instructions unclear! I hate these things. Just scan my damn retina already.
I’m not suggesting this social media format will die, it’s just likely that a corporate entity will develop a lemmy alternative that becomes more popular and causes fatal atrophy or Reddit will get new leadership and Lemmy hopefuls will cross back over if content development here is slower than the collective patience. I’m pro Lemmy FYI, I just don’t understand the unbridled optimism about it’s future.
Try Kagi. I’m totally hooked. It’s a refreshing search experience and you can rank reddit as a lower level site so it can still come up, but less likely to be at the top of your search list all the time.
Bonkers. There is a critical mass that keeps people willing to support it. I can run an original Quake server and find a few people to play with, but distrubuted multinode systems don’t mean a damn without a critical mass user base. Lemmy is far from bulletproof.
What are you on about? Just the other night I had a pan for roasting seeds, a pot for building a sauce, a pan for cooking protein and another pot for cooking my starch. And that’s just a Tuesday meal. If I made a dedicated effort to be minimal with vessels, I’d still have to wait for them to cool for cleaning. Also, to all the clean while you cook advocates on here, that’s easier to do with a known preparation. When you’ve Just downloaded a new recipe and you have no idea what you are doing, your often don’t have the bandwidth to leave the project and start cleaning.
Definitely. If this is that big of a deal the workplace is dangerously understaffed or you have people just plain abusing time off which the manager then needs to be aware of and address.
Felt cute contributing to Lemmy, might delete later, idk (i.imgur.com)
