JohnDClay,

Used as training data, or used as prompts to give further context? The former would be very troubling since it’d then be available to anyone able to engineer the right prompt. But I suspect they’re looking at doing the latter.

JohnDClay,

Maybe it’s studio meddling or director indecision? Lots of changes at the last minute make the writers fly by the seat of their pants?

JohnDClay,

Is 1 under fed? Usually these charts show extremes in both directions.

JohnDClay,

Funny, I was just watching something about framework! It’s got some discussion of various framework reviews and the pros and cons of the machine.

With framework being a new company, looks like they’re working out some bugs, but they’re doing it quickly and transparently. The laptop costs more per performance than other options, but since you can upgrade it down the line, you can save money in the long run.

Compared to a MacBook, it really depends on the applications you use. Video editing is likely going to be better on mac, but good luck trying to game on it. Mac has better battery life, but you’ll pay an arm and a leg to repair anything, sometimes being cheaper to buy a whole new machine than pay their exorbitant prices.

So it all depends on the use case, but I’d go with framework. I care that the company isn’t adversarial, and it would work for what I use a laptop for.

JohnDClay,

Frameworks yes, but that’s pretty much the only ones you can nowadays. I do little things like replace the screen or barrel jacks on my family’s laptops, but that’s about all you can do.

JohnDClay,

Is there any router side solutions for YouTube adds? I want to block for my family, but they don’t see the point.

JohnDClay,

I guess it would depend on the temperature resistance and how the power is transmitted. Even solar panels wear out, and the collection surfaces of a dyson sphere would be a lot higher temp. But with something that scale, I’d imagine it would be a ton of maintenance work even if was a tiny amount per area.

JohnDClay,

I’ve never seen it, but definitely picked up the reference from cultural osmosis.

I thought the idea of dazzle was to obscure your direction and shape for targeting torpedos and large guns with a long flight time. It seems like it’d be less than useless where you don’t need to account for the motion of the target like on a person.

JohnDClay,

What could be shoot that he didn’t already shoot? In the books, he already managed to fell a fell beast from long range. And it’s not like shooting the eye of Sauron with a sniper rifle would kill him.

JohnDClay,

That never happens. Plus we don’t have anyone bombing our kids.

JohnDClay,

With wind blowing up from under them to give them a little bit of motion!

JohnDClay,

You’d think the genie would let the dog have their own three wishes. Usually it’s 3 per person.

JohnDClay,

I know they’re dangerous, but they’re still so fun! Jumping off trees onto trampolines at a friend’s house is a core memory of mine, but I’m sure there was an not insignificant change of injury or death each time.

JohnDClay,

Eww!

JohnDClay,

Not high enough water content to microwave I’d guess, though I haven’t tried it.

JohnDClay,

I think this picture is more signed the eldredge abomination trying to mimick the form of a cat moreso than an actual cat.

I’m sure top will look cringe (or whatever the new word for it will be) in 20 years too.
