Gentle reminder to everyone that support for ends in about 90 weeks. Many computers can't upgrade to Win 11 so here are your options:

  1. Continue on Win 10 but with higher security risks.
  2. Buy new and expensive hardware that supports Win11.
  3. Try a beginner friendly distro like . It only takes about two months to acclimate.

Kecessa,

People can also get an extra 3 years of extended updates, at that point TPM 2.0 integration in consumer devices will be close to 10 years old…

It’s also possible to install W11 without TPM 2.0 and from what I’ve seen, it works without any issues.

Kecessa,

While Microsoft Vice President for Operating Systems Terry Myerson didn’t exactly say that when he kicked off the Jan. 21 presentation of the company’s plans for Windows 10, that message was still clear.

Extrapolation by the writer in order to generate clicks by having a catchy headline? Impossible!

Microsoft just mentioned that the update procedure would make it so users running out of date and unsafe machines on the internet would not be an issue anymore, not that they would support W10 forever.

Seen from the outside and ignoring all the innocent people suffering, I would love one thing about the USA splitting up, it would be the perfect example of how shitty things can get when people don’t realize they live in conservative locations that depend on the goodwill of more progressive locations. Split the USA like on OP’s map and just watch as the red part devolves into a third world country.

Russia should use its special services within the borders of the United States and Canada to fuel instability and separatism against neoliberal globalist Western hegemony, such as, for instance, provoke “Afro-American racists” to create severe backlash against the rotten political state of affairs in the current present day system of the United States and Canada. Russia should “introduce geopolitical disorder into internal American activity, encouraging all kinds of separatism and ethnic, social and racial conflicts, actively supporting all dissident movements – extremist, racist, and sectarian groups, thus destabilizing internal political processes in the U.S. It would also make sense simultaneously to support isolationist tendencies in American politics”.[9]

90% of the US is emptiness and small towns/villages where you would have no need for 150k/year…

Kecessa,

Yeah but you don’t need 150k/year to be comfortable in 90% of the US when the people living there are making half of that as a couple.

“fitness”

Highly exaggerated by the masculinist movement, I know many people who aren’t in good shape and never were that have a relationship/family life that most would envy

Kecessa,

Not really true and you realize that you can just not do exercise without being 400lbs right? Even in the periods where I wasn’t into exercising my weight was stable around ~145lbs at 5’8", I just looked like a regular guy and dated plenty of beautiful women during that time.

Kecessa, (edited )

When did I say it hurts to be fit?

The vast majority of the population doesn’t go to the gym and their exercise consists of doing random physical activities around the house, going on walks or having a physically demanding job but a bunch of people with low self esteem got convinced by the internet that they’re hopeless if they don’t go to the gym… Oh and here, buy their product and treat women like shit while you’re at it because it all goes together! That’s what self esteem feels like bitches!

Kecessa,

Do you spray while it’s coming out or something?

Kecessa,

That varies from person to person.

Kecessa,

My girlfriend felt the same way until we had a “Hot Ones” party where the spiciest sauce was 750 000 SHU. She went to the bathroom the next morning and I just heard “Ooooooooooooh”…

Kecessa,

You don’t eat as spicy as you think you do then…

Kecessa,

Not about the stomach, it’s about the heat on the way out!

Kecessa,

Dude, I’ve got a bidet, eat spicy enough and it burns AS IT’S COMING OUT, there’s no escaping it!

Kecessa,

There’s a big difference between “I eat spicy food all the time” and “Hey, let’s go buy some crazy hot sauces and do an evening where we eat them with whatever support we prefer going from the mildest to the hottest one!”

I’ve got a sauce that I can’t put more than half a tea spoon of in a 10L batch of spaghetti sauce otherwise I have to decide who I eat it with…

So go to a hot sauce place, tell them you want 10 of them going from Tabasco hot all the way to 1m SHU and enjoy the spicy butt!

Kecessa,

As I replied in another comment, do an “hot ones” evening going all the way up to 1m SHU and tell me your ass came out ok.

It results in decreased function of the iris and pupil, affecting the physical eye and visualization.

When the iris becomes deformed, it will disarrange the control of light coming in leading to blurred vision and finding it hard to visually focus.

From what I’m finding it either has no effect or bad effects but never good effects like better night vision so you just got lied to or they said that as a joke and you didn’t get it.

Punishment that your don’t need to pay if your just respect the legal speed. We’re not talking about someone stealing food because they can’t afford to eat, we’re talking about someone driving a car and being unable to get their foot off the gas pedal for a bit. Your reaction to that is “People shouldn’t take their responsibility to respect the law, it’s the state that should spend money to make it so they don’t want to drive like morons!” while ignoring the fact that speed cameras are proven to be effective at keeping people under the sites limit and cost way less than just rebuilding roads. Add to that the fact that your solution means years or even decades of people driving too fast for safety while roads are getting rebuilt based on their speed limit and there’s nothing to enforce the speed limit in the meantime because “speed cameras aren’t the solution”.

If you’re unable to slow down just because the road is wide enough that you feel safe driving fast then you’ve got no business owning a car.

Kecessa,

The speed limit needs to be indicated in order to be valid so that’s a completely ridiculous point you’re trying to make.

If people don’t pay attention to their driving they need to be penalized for it because no matter the road design, they’ll commit infractions and no matter the road design, speed limits need to be enforced otherwise they become suggestions.

See another of my comments with sources proving that speed cameras do reduce speeding by a wide margin, proving that drivers pay enough attention to their speed that when they fear they might be penalized for speeding, they slow down.

Kecessa, (edited )

“How likely is it that drivers are speeding?”

Much more likely if there’s nothing to punish them for doing so.

Not Just Bikes isn’t the fucking second coming off Christ, you need to push your reflection a bit farther than his message.

You never replied to the “Ok, but what about between now and when all the roads have been redesigned?” part, weird right? That’s decades and trillions of dollars you’re saying we should spend to reach a solution, so, what happens in the meantime?

What’s your REALISTIC solution that works NOW and can be QUICKLY applied EVERYWHERE?

Kecessa,

You still don’t present any solutions and you dismiss sources based on your personal bias against car journalists and a country without presenting any actual evidences that’s they’re wrong (because you won’t find any).

www.sciencedirect.com/…/S2090447923000436

Again. We live in the here and now, what’s your solution to speeding drivers that can be applied to save lives NOW while roads are getting redesigned?

Kecessa,

Damn, you finally did it, you proved that you’re actually able to come up with a solution instead of just acting like it’s either 100% or nothing, bravo!

Speed cameras would still be required to catch people still speeding through them though.
