Kecessa,

After 500km the Jeep is useless for mobility

Ok then, six months max if you always manage to find gas (you’re not the only one around siphoning it)

Kecessa,

Gas doesn’t keep, it turns to varnish, that’s why starting a weed eater after winter is a pain, the carb is clogged from old gas turning to schmoo

Kecessa,

Used in the industry as it would require paying an employee just to break eggs otherwise.

Kecessa,

Not precooked, but yeah

Kecessa, (edited )

Hard boiled eggs are made on premise as they wouldn’t transport in a bag without disintegrating.

Was the case when I worked in a 200 bedrooms hotel kitchen anyway…

Kecessa,

Interesting, we don’t have them around here or I’ve never noticed anyway…

I count it as a portable mini-PC because the games I’m playing on it are the same I own on PC, using the same account…

Kecessa,

“history class”, the director was called out for historical inaccuracies and his reaction was “lol, I don’t give a fuck”

King of the Hill started in 1997, Hank is 41, that means he would have been born in 1956 of the series is taking place at the same time it started (there’s a millennium episode so that pretty much confirms it), it’s just an issue of characters not aging in animated series.

Kecessa,

I think the two of you need to sit down for a little talk 😂

Kecessa,

Oh fuck no, you should see the difference between me and my girlfriend when the other is asleep, I used to work night shift and she wouldn’t wake up when I came back at 4am even if we lived in a 500sq ft apartment, but she sure as hell would wake me up at 7 am by making breakfast and coffee!

Worst snowstorm I had ever seen (and I lived in a place where getting over a foot of snow overnight was nothing unusual), worked in a casino, 90+ years old lady that looks like she last ate 20 years ago arrives in her car and tells us “Wow, the roads are very dangerous, if I had known I would have stayed home!” Fucking hell! I told her “You realise you could have just turned around and go back home instead of driving half an hour, right?” She just didn’t know what to answer to that…

Kecessa,

Young enough? You realise that’s still what they play in stores where people work retail?

True story…

At work in my department they told us we can put decorations in our (at home!) office but to try and stay religiously neutral. Meanwhile in my friend’s department (same employer) they got an email to wish employees a happy Easter back in April, happy Mawlid (celebration of Muhammad’s birth) back in September and happy Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah in October…

I’m an atheist so I don’t celebrate any of these things and to me holidays should just be spread equally to give people long weekends, but I can’t help but laugh at the hypocrisy when it comes to Christmas compared to all other holidays through the year…

Kecessa,

To me anything religious should be treated as such, something private that has nothing to do with your workplace and only secular holidays should exist considering holidays are imposed by the government and there’s supposed to be a separation of religion and State (in my country anyway), but I know my opinion on this subject is pretty extreme.

Kecessa,

Then people should have no issue with them being moved around so the holidays are equally divided throughout the year, right? There’s no importance to them happening on the specific dates they do at the moment, right?

Kecessa,

But that won’t happen

Kecessa,

Playlists?

There’s only five true public holidays applied throughout the whole of Canada

Quebec has their National holiday but no civic holiday. Only four provinces out of ten (two of those only for government employees), the territories and jobs under federal jurisdiction have the truth and remembrance day.

Even counting all of them there’s a big hole after the new year and the next one is… Good Friday which is 100% religious…

But at the federal level that’s 12 holidays that could be separated to get rid of religious holidays and to give everyone one long weekend every month!

Well, if you don’t mind losing all online content that’s more than a couple mb in size then sure, what you’re saying makes sense… Safely hosting over 1 billion videos costs money and people don’t want to pay for it directly so…

Kecessa, (edited )

And there’s even more people that don’t…

80m premium subscribers, 2.7b monthly users… Do you really think that’s sustainable without having a secondary source of revenue? Because I don’t know that many businesses that survive from 3% paying customers…

That’s just for YouTube, but there are other websites that host content that wouldn’t be sustainable without ads and that would need to switch to a paid subscription format.

Is it so hard to admit that there’s something unusual about expecting websites to run out of the pocket of the owners/employees when we don’t expect real world businesses to do so?

Kecessa,

FOR YEARS!

August 1991 the web was made available to CERN, 1993 was the year it truly became open to the public and ads were introduced the same year…

I mean, I guess they were technically right? But it’s the same as the “cable didn’t have ads” bullshit people keep saying…

Kecessa,

Repeat after me, Google isn’t the only provider that hosts a lot of content.

Would you like it if the majority of websites became pay per use or subscription only?

Kecessa,

Man, around here restaurants are also closed on Sunday AND Monday…
