Me at work when I bookmark anything I think may be useful for reference. I have to go through my bookmarks every so often because I accumulate so goddamn many.
Thank you for such a detailed response! My company pays for the first attempt at a cert test, but I have to pay for it myself if I fail and have to retake it. I am also going to ask for a raise if one isn’t offered. I had to do a self-evaluation and listed a bunch of stuff I want to learn and start doing. I have to get help from other techs for a lot of stuff that I end up not understanding, and I want to not have to rely on them so much going forward. Like, they’re more than happy to help me, but I don’t want them to put their work aside for me. As for my coworkers, they’re all absolutely amazing. I consider them work friends and we are close and support each other.
I know that I have to get a specific Microsoft cert to get discussions on a promotion started. I attempted the cert exam and failed pretty badly. Gotta study more.
I plan on asking for specific feedback and how I can improve and all that.
I’ll start off by saying that he has a bad past life. He was obviously abused by his previous owners and straight up abandoned in the woods. He has bad anxiety that he is on Prozac for, and it seems to be helping for the most part....
Thank you so much for all the advice! I’ll definitely try out what you said. He just got a checkup and the vet said he is fine. He could probably use more exercise, but I physically can’t take him out because my leg is messed up. My sister is in charge of that during the day until my parents get home.
Yeah. We are going to be at my parents until at least January. My ankle/leg got super fucked up. The accident was also traumatic for my dog. I was screaming with pain when it happened and had to drag myself inside to call for help. My boy got so scared that he ran off into the woods. I wouldn’t let my mom call an ambulance until she got him back. She said he was so scared he was shaking. Throughout this whole ordeal, I’ve cried a lot and I’m sure it makes my dog upset. He has been up my ass since I got hurt and does his best to comfort me.
My parents also have two dogs and one is an anxious mess, which doesn’t help my boy. The anxious dog freaks out over the littlest things and has to be consoled constantly. My parents’ dogs also love to sneak in and eat my dogs’ (I have a goldendoodle puppy as well) food. My dogs also had a very strict routine before all this happened and it’s completely different now.
I’m going to make some toys for my dogs to keep my hands busy and hopefully help my boy. All of his fave stuff is at my house, and my parents haven’t had time to grab it for me
My little sister has also been getting very frustrated with all of the dogs running around and/or misbehaving. She has autism and doesn’t understand that yelling at them and lecturing them doesn’t help. In fact, yelling and lecturing makes my beagle very upset. I’ve been working with her to try to make her understand what is and isn’t appropriate behavior towards the dogs. I’ve been helping her with how to recognize what the dogs need to do in situations where they are being crazy. Sometimes they need a nap, or to run outside, or they’re hungry.
I’m going to call my vet today and see if they think upping his Prozac temporarily will help at all.
I got pics of my foot during surgery and pics of it a week after the operation. I’d love to share it with people and discuss how neat the human body is. I don’t want to subject people to it who aren’t interested in it, though.
The healing is going very well. I got my surgery on Oct 30th. I’m in a lot of pain still, but I have a chronic pain condition, so I’m not surprised I still hurt so much.
I got a Maisonneuve fracture in my right ankle/leg I got a screw on the right side of my ankle to reattach a bone. I got a plate and two tightrope devices on the left side of my ankle to put my syndesmosis back together and to get my tibia and fibula back in place.
My surgeon seemed super pumped that I got this type of fracture. Apparently you have to twist your ankle in a very specific way to get a fracture like this. He told me all about it and he was so enthusiastic. He got even more excited when I asked him to take pics of the inside of my foot because I wanted to see it.
His enthusiasm has made the experience less terrible lol.
I’m laid up right now and I’m an anxious mess. I’m worried about finances and now my car. My mom said the engine sounded funny when she brought it over to her place, where I’m staying....
Thank you! I’ll try to schedule worrying for a later date and time and see if that helps. I’m a procrastinator, so I can just keep rescheduling the worrying forever lmao
I’m laid up with a severely broken ankle and leg, and will be laid up for God knows how long. I wanna read webcomics, but I feel like I’m running out of good ones on Webtoon. Anyone have any recommendations or sites to look at?
I’ve had lots of surgery, but this one is the second most intense. I’m terrified of how I’m going to feel afterwards. They will be putting some hardware in and I’m afraid it’ll hurt more than it does now. My pain is so bad right now that I’ve been crying for hours. Morphine isn’t even taking the edge off.
I use Google drive to backup my pics and memes because I don’t have enough to warrant getting anything bigger. I have the $2/month Google One subscription because the free one was barely too small. I can’t get rid of memes tho.
To my knowledge there’s no stagnant water on my property, I’ve run water through all my ptraps, and I’m careful to not leave doors open. Yet at any given time there’s at least 3 in my house. I can’t sleep, i can’t sit on the couch, i can’t exist in the fear of being sucked dry....

Are there any communities here where I can share NSFW medical images?

How can a naturally anxious person keep from worrying while laid up in bed with a broken ankle and leg?

Any advice for someone who broke bones that need surgery to fix?
Broke my ankle and leg in 3 places and I’m getting surgery tomorrow. Idk how to feel or what to expect.
What do you use to backup all your photos and documents, cloud or external drive or both?
I never want to lose photos I’ve taken over the years. What’s the best solution to make sure they’re saved?

I need to survive for 3 days without pooping, and eating as little as possible. I can pee, but not very often. It can't take up too much space. What food do I pack?
Please don't ask why I need this....
