NeoNachtwaechter,

why SpaceX is bad.

For example they “decorated” our night sky with thousands of their satellites. Never asked permission. Astronomers around the globe are pissed because their work & results gets worse. Other people who own satellites are pissed because they don’t behave up there.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Tesla is pushing the automobile industry

When they were new and people still believed their promises, they could push the real car makers.

For a while. Long ago.

Nowadays everybody learns how bad these cars really are and how shitty this company acts to their customers after the warranty.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Then that doesn’t help them.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Providing global Internet is worth it

Who are you to judge that?

NeoNachtwaechter,

Amazon, SpaceX, TwitterX, TeslaX, Uber, Nestlé, Google, Micro$oft

NeoNachtwaechter,

Too blunt.

Maybe better: I think I saw your daughter last night. Later you can ask me where…

NeoNachtwaechter,

I guess he hadn’t taken enough advantages on the side yet, so he decided to try it all again.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Absolute privacy must be available as a possibility at least, and then it’s the user’s own decision if he wants to open it (at times, or for certain people, or for certain services, etc.)

If you as a user don’t have the possibility, then there is no safe space and no safe person anymore, like your sleeping room, or your children, etc.

Services trying to take the decision away from the user are evil. No exception possible and no excuse.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Makes me feel pretty much the same way as everything else that a terrorist says publicly:

Very careful and suspicious.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Oil good

I have not said anything like that. You want to do something about your reading skills.

NeoNachtwaechter,

Only since a few years we are stupid enough to define nuclear energy as green 🤮

Why wasn't NYC's Central Park concept copied by other cities?

I’m talking about a massive park in the absolute heart of the city. Located such that is naturally surrounded by city high rises. *People are giving examples of parks that are way off in the boonies. I’m trying to say located centrally, heart of the city, you know where the high rises are. Yes I understand nyc has more, the...

NeoNachtwaechter,

naturally surrounded by city high rises.

Something seems odd with the idea that high rises were ‘natural’ :-)

For me, the “concept” is terribly wrong.

A park itself is fine, but you can’t use one park as an excuse for not having other parks, green areas etc. anymore in a big city.

New York has 5 times more people than Munich. But Munich’s biggest park is about the same size as New York’s Central Park (a little bigger even). And if you count all the green areas, parks etc. in Munich together, they are 6 times larger (counting only the ones that are publicly accessible and listed in wikipedia) than that Central Park.

So, give your New Yorker’s 30 central parks and lots of other green spots, and you got a concept.

NeoNachtwaechter,

In the U.S. seems like we’re a long way from that

Not just a long way. No visible way at all.

You need to fix your political landscape first, for example have > 2 parties, and have other than these two ultra conservative parties. Only then will you be able to make significant changes in your country.

NeoNachtwaechter,

I have written here just a few days ago what we can do:

NeoNachtwaechter,

have a fact-check community

Wikipedia tries that for many years now. It works nearly perfect for easy topics, but rather terrible for the really controversial topics.

NeoNachtwaechter,

IMO a sentence is racist if it’s author is racist.

NeoNachtwaechter,

racism means “the idea that there are races”.

By that definition, if you call yourself white and you think that white were a race, then you are racist.

But if you call yourself white in order to just describe yourself (whoever may need such a description, I don’t know), then you are not.

NeoNachtwaechter,

universal healthcare

Nobody can tell how many doctors are needed for the whole universe.

When I get a lack of sleep, I often have a splitting headache the next day. Other people never get any headaches. What's wrong with me?

When I get a lack of sleep (or especially multiple nights of bad sleep), I often have a splitting headache the next day that makes me unfunctional and worsens until I get more sleep. Other people I’m with have the exact same sleeping routines and never get any headaches, and can still function despite being tired. What’s...

NeoNachtwaechter,

a study?

I’m not living in that country.

NeoNachtwaechter,

When I get a lack of sleep (…), I often have a splitting headache the next day

This connection is typical for migraine.

Also, many people sleep with a too thick pillow, and this could also cause headaches because of tensions. Try a thin one, or only a little towel instead of a pillow.
