OLED AoD eats a lot of battery because there’s still quite a lot of information(and thus, pixels turned on) shown on the AoD. A single pixel blinking on and off would at most use the same power as a dedicated notification led.
Not really, it’s mostly only budget phones that have it nowadays. The S10E(which stands for ‘essential’ btw, not ‘enterprise’) is almost 5 years old, not exactly representative of the modern phone market.
I have a pair of cheap Skullcandy’s that have physical buttons instead of touch sensors. The buttons are basically impossible to use without smooshing the earbud into your ear trying to click it, but it also means it’s really hard to accidentally click them. Probably as close as you can get to dumb Bluetooth earbuds.
Battery bypass is not exclusive to the S23U, it’s on other recent Samsungs and it wasn’t even first introduced on Samsung phones, it’s been on multiple Sony and Asus phones. So yeah, people are gonna make assumptions when you’re complaining about how big phones have gotten while owning one of the largest phones on the market.
Nope, that EU legislation only requires batteries be replaceable, not swappable. In other words, you probably won’t need a heat gun to replace it, but you’ll probably still need a screwdriver.
Weather is too hot? It’s because of global warming.
Weather too cold? Also global warming.
Literally yes. It’s not our fault if people are too stupid to realize weather =! climate, are too skeptical to trust the science. Regardless of whether people believe it, it’s literally the facts of the matter that global warming is the cause of these extreme weather events.
I’m really confused what your point is. Climate change deniers looking at objective facts and rejecting them because they can’t comprehend a warmer climate could cause colder weather means they are fucking stupid, not that the facts are wrong. We don’t need to play advocate for dumbassery
Maybe it’s just cold because it’s January?
January had been super mild near me, average lows in the 30s with actual average being like 50, up until this past week when the cold front came in from the north and literally overnight temps dropped to the negatives. I was closely monitoring weather radars this week, I literally watched the cold front coming in… and look at that, the cold front has finally mostly passed over me and it’s once again in the comparatively balmy 30s, and supposed to be even warmer next week. Huh, guess it’s not just because it’s January, who knew?
The whole winter has been super mild actually, besides literally this weeks cold front it’s been warmer on average than it would’ve been in early Autumn here 15ish years ago. We used to frequently get the first blizzard of the year in October, now it takes an abnormal cold front coming down from the literal arctic to even get a blizzard at all, in January! That’s fucking alarming.
DC’s direct to video animation department consistently puts out absolute bangers, so that’s not surprising. It’s the live action stuff where they continuously drop the ball.
I mean real talk, how many generations back are you actually disappointing? Like I’m only going to disappoint my dad, as once you go up to grandparent level I have plenty of cousins who can and have already passed “our line” down.
How is OP right? Just about everyone likes milk chocolate, but you’d be hard pressed to find a significant number of people that enjoy downing spoonfuls of sugar. Clearly it’s not just the sugar people enjoy
The pickle comparison is also perfect. The only difference between dark and milk chocolate is the sugar content, and the only difference between a pickle and a cucumber is the vinegar.
It’s still completely besides the point. Milk chocolate is it’s own food, you don’t taste the sugar or chocolate separately, it’s a homogeneous mixture. You don’t “like sugar more than chocolate”, you like Milk Chocolate more than you like Dark Chocolate. You probably(hopefully… r.i.p your teeth otherwise) also like Milk Chocolate more than you like pure sugar, so by the OPs logic that must mean you like chocolate more than you like sugar, at the same time as you like sugar more than chocolate. See the problem here?
Btw, people do eat spoonfuls of honey which is probably 99.9% sugar.
One, not a completely fair comparison because honey has it’s own distinctive flavor beyond just tasting like sugar. But also two, I’ve never known anyone to just eat multiple spoonfuls of honey by itself. Anecdotal, sure, but I don’t think it’s nearly as common as you seem to be implying it is
There are still thousands of infections daily(~35,000 in the first week of 2024), and thousands of deaths weekly. Unless Plague Inc. rules have changed, Covid hasn’t lost yet.
My sense of taste was dulled and my sense of smell was totally 100% gone(I’m certain I could’ve been sprayed directly by a skunk and still smelt nothing at all) for about a month, with them slowly going back to normal over the course of another month or so. I also developed minor brain fog, which still hasn’t fully left over 3 years later.
It’s not just the accent, it’s his age/health combined with the accent. He was at least understandable with effort back in the day, now he practically needs a translater.

For me it’s the notification light you used to find on older phones, was particularly good to know if your phone was charged without picking it up
