Petter1,

I could not find a link to the source on the website 🤔 do you know where the source is?

Edit: gitlab.futo.org/videostreaming/grayjay

New to plex.....sometimes it loses track of my TV show?

Finally got back into sailing the high seas and, first thing i did after getting plex set up was get parks and rec since ive missed it so bad after it left netflix. Its great so far but occasionally it loses track of what ive watched and picks up in the middle of like 9 episodes back?...

Petter1,

Hmm… So plex running directly on “smart” TV or via a device plugged in to a TV? Either way, I think the knowledge about which operating system is running on the playing device would make failure analysis more easy.

Petter1,

Do you use multiple devices? This occurs to me if start watch on iPad, pause there and finish on tv without properly closing the iPad app. If I now go back to the iPad, it overwrites the progress of the Paused episode with progress on iPad.

Petter1,

Hmm 🤔 I sadly have no experience in Roku devices…

Petter1,

I guess with the new privacy killing law in UK, you always want to have a VPN ready, just in case… Talking about this internetsociety.org/…/uk-online-safety-bill-set-t…

Petter1,

I use the usenet because leeching is legal in my country. I think, we wouldn’t be able to reach the speed we have with using a VPN to be honest. So, if it is possible to use the usenet without VPN in UK, I think you may have faster download speed, but I’m not quite sure if VPN is really the bottleneck, usually.

Petter1,

I use lidarr together with plex and jellyfin. For downloading, I have chosen the usenet and it works pretty good full automatic. You just need the right indexers.

Petter1,

There is a certain not cheap (paid monthly) one where you feel like a vip using headphones. Sadly I seem to be not allowed to share the name of the Indexer here for some reason. I did once share the best german indexer (my opinion) and my comment got deleted.

Petter1,

They dropped support and did not open source it? Damn

Petter1,

But only finding the yENC means there was no better named file around so radarr tryharded with lose fitting name of file. If your indexer, or maybe your Usenet provider, don’t have the right file you want.

Petter1,

You need better (e.g. private) indexer 😇

Petter1,

You can set custom filters in sonarr where you can give files with yENC in name a -10 priority for example.

Here a guide, what can be done with that feature.

Petter1,

Funny times: while one distro kicks Xorg overboard, another distro finally includes Wayland as experimental.

Petter1,

Which is not a distro nor a display server but, like kde and gnome, a desktop environment. They are actively working on wayland support as can be seen here: wiki.xfce.org/releng/wayland_roadmap

So just for clarification 😇

And I recognized now that this post was about cinnamon desktop environment, which comes with mint distro, and not the distro itself. So the comparison to GNOME would have been more fitting from my site (they’ll drop Xorg support soon, but still let it be installed in post).

So, yea, and then there is XFCE where we have no real clue when Wayland support is completely ready. But it seems like it could work with something called xwayland that seem to kinda emulate Xorg on wayland 🧐
