Nobody is doing that. Literally nobody is writing those scripts, you just view them as “woke” because suddenly the hero isn’t male, or white. Pretend die hard doesn’t exist, If you were to write die hard exactly as it’s on the script but McClain is a woman, is that woke?

Why is it that when a woman or person of color gets even close to a leading role, suddenly it’s called “woke”

I’m in Canada. 25 years ago my parents bought a home for $130k, they sold it 15 years ago for $500k, it’s now listed for $1.1 million. We are so fucked.

Wife an I met and got married when I was 25 and she was 19. We had some life experience and knew what we wanted. 15 years later, it’s still amazing, we’re still best friends and inseparable. I’m in Canada, when I order pizza for my family of 3 it comes out to like $65+ with tax and delivery, it’s insane. Took them to burger king the other day, we got 3 meals and a couple of apple turnovers and it came out to $50+, shit is insane.

Jenny was molested as a child by her dad, and though she loved forrest, when she slept with him, she felt like she molested him because of his condition. This caused her to run away and fall back into self loathing and drugs, thinking she just became her own father. She loved Forrest more than anything, that’s why she stayed away, because she was a ticking time bomb and didn’t want to hurt him. When she found out she was dying she accepted her love for Forrest and realized he was the only good person in her life, and the only one she trusted to raise their son

The Luthor they haven’t done on film yet is my favorite, the Luthor who is physically fit, super intelligent, successful, charming.

Luthor was the pinnacle of what a human could be. Like ozymandias in watchmen. His name is Alexander, and he is supposed to be a modern day namesake. He is the perfect human, who is almost destined to be a world leader, then suddenly Superman appears, and can fly without effort, making Luthor who worked his ass off #2

Then Luthor finds out supes is an alien. Luthor believes that it is his human right to rule over earth if he is capable, and an alien has no right to stop him. If Superman had appeared in ancient times, would be have stopped Alexander, or Caesar or Augustus, would he have had the right to interfere in human affairs to that extent? Luthor went mad when Superman appeared, and won’t stop till he’s dead.

I like this take off Luthor as a xenophobe who thinks Superman, an immigrant has no business stopping his rise to power

I remember when floppies where called floppy because they were huge and floppy (that’s what she said). Before the hard shell smaller floppies became a thing.

I’m a condo super, so I deal with the common areas but the condo units and everything inside is owned by whoever bought the unit. The worst are the landlords that own multiple units, and when anything goes wrong they tell their tenants to call me, the building super.

I have to remind those landlords that I’m the super for the corporation, and they’re the super, manager, handyman, administrator for their own units. Those landlords want to own like 10 properties and just collect the money.

Literally impossible to avoid Nestle. Even going to a restaurant or getting take out, benefitted Nestle in some way. Really it’s the fault of governments for allowing a corporation to get that big

I once called police about a car theft on a property I managed. We had had footage of the theft, the thieves, their getaway car, their license plates, their entry and exit, their faces visible on every camera. It took the cops two weeks to drop by to collect the footage and take a report, and they looked so annoyed, and didn’t even pretend to care. They straight up told me nothing would come of it.

But if you’re a corporation, they’re all over that shit. Minor shop lifting? Cops are there in minutes. It’s become clear over the last few years who the police work for, and it’s not us, the little people who pay taxes.
