I don’t expect you to be less confused, I don’t expect you to know the answer
Then the discussion is not relevant in the moment and can be saved until after the movie when you are not actively disrupting the movie for other people.
Of course I wouldn’t talk during a dialogue, only during non-dialogue scenes
What you find personally enjoyable is not universal. While you may focus heavily on dialogue, other people do not. Moreover, things that are in non-dialogue scenes can be just as important, if not VITALLY important, to the movie as dialogue itself. By your logic, every other part of the movie that does not include dialogue is irrelevant to the movie and doesn’t require attention.
Again, I don’t expect you to know the answer
Then the discussion is not relevant in the moment and can be saved until after the movie when you are not actively disrupting the movie for other people.
Lmao do you think I would be screaming that question throughout the entire theatre?
People are sitting around you on all sides. Unless there is no one near you, then you are going to disrupt the movie for them. There is a reason the trope exists of people saying “SHHH!” to other people talking quietly in movies. It’s because they have ears and can hear you.
It’s not about a discussion it’s about speculation. There’s no point in speculation when the movie is over, all answers are given unless if there’s a second movie coming.
Speculation requires you to talk to the other person and for them to talk back to you. You know. Like a discussion. If you’re not expecting a response at all then it just circles back to the point of egotistical and narcissistic by assuming that everyone around you thinks that your idle musings about a movie are more entertaining than the movie itself.
This entire conversation is pointless and I’m not continuing it any further. What you’re advocating for is some nastygirl behavior that is utterly inconsiderate of everyone else. Let me reflect that energy right back by no longer considering anything you say.
This makes a lot of assumptions though and none of which are ones that I particularly agree with.
First off, this is predicated entirely off of the assumption that AI is going to think like humans, have the same reasoning as humans/corporations and have the same goals/drive that corporations do.
Since we cannot gather data on this, we must rely on the inferior method of using naive models to predict future behavior.
This does pull the entire argument into question though. It relies on simple models to try and predict something that doesn’t even exist yet. That is inherently unreliable when it comes to its results. It’s hard to guess the future when you won’t know what it looks like.
Decision Theory
Decision Theory has one major drawback which is that it’s based entirely off of past events and does not take random chance or unknown-knowns into account. You cannot focus and rely on “expected variations” in something that has never existed. The weather cannot be adequately predicted three days out because of minor variables that can impact things drastically. A theory that doesn’t even take into account variables simply won’t be able to come close to predicting something as complex and unimaginable as artificial intelligence, sentience and sapience.
Canadians serving in US Prisons isn’t unheard of. We do have an extradition treaty to the US. Not one that I’m okay with as fuck being beholden to American laws while never stepping foot in the country. However he wasn’t even in Canada. He was in the Dominican Republic at the time that he was caught. He was extradited from there to the United States where he served 2 years before being released and repatriated back to Canada.
Oh god yeah. Some early video games are fucking horrendous for this. Thank GOD that it’s almost essentially now to have sliders for individual tracks. Always end up lowering the music to 75, the sound effects to 85-90 and the dialogue stays at 100.
Love me some Forza. Been playing 5 lately for the first time. Feels lonely not having friends to play with anymore but I gotta start messing with this Horizon Open shit.
I mean sure if you’re covered in mud or something. For general wear and use? Most people aren’t getting grit or sand or heavy dirt particles on their glasses. They’re just getting smudges and water spots and tiny hairs or eye dust.
