Jokes aside there’s really some truth in this. I’m not sure if it’s the dopamine or that I just need to disctract my mind away from the things that makes me anxious but I sure as hell don’t do it because I’m horny. I don’t even remember what being horny feels like.
And no, I’m not one of those nofap/pornfree fanatics. For most people there probably is not an issue there. It’s only when you spend 6 hours several times a week doing something like this that you might start to consider this may not be good for you.
YouTube updates their adblock detection script twice a day meaning you have to update the “quick fix” filter list twice a day aswell. There’s currently no permanent fix. It’s a cat and mouse game.
Russia is sending migrants to Finland and after we closed the eastern border they started walking thru the forest and showing up on the yards of people living close to the border. These people are literally hiking thru deep snow in the freezing winter wearing sneakers.
I just keep rolling untill I fall asleep. Trying to sleep in a specific position is near impossible. Even the best one gets uncomfortable pretty quick. Only thing I try to avoid is sleeping on my right side as it seems to be the cause for my rhomboid pain
Yeah mostly from middle east I believe. Finland started putting up hundreds of kilometers of border fence about a year ago as this was expected to happen. They’re trying to destabilize our political system this way. Despite what many articles say this is not about trying to stop an invasion. It’s about migrants that Russia is using as political leverage.
PIA was sold to Kape Technologies a few years back and they have somewhat questionable history and that made me switch to Mullvad. Not because I thought it’s better VPN per-se, but because I wanted away from PIA and Mullvad seemed popular.
The issue is who he sold it to – the notorious creator of some pernicious data-huffing ad-ware, Crossrider. The UK-based company was cofounded by an ex-Israeli surveillance agent and a billionaire previously convicted of insider trading who was later named in the Panama Papers. It produced software which previously allowed third-party developers to hijack users’ browsers via malware injection, redirect traffic to advertisers and slurp up private data.
I think if people knew the extent to which these big-data algorithms can figure out things about you just based on the links you click and posts you upvote then they would be more concerned. If it was just that they knew my location, age and interests then I wouldn’t really care much but the reality is that they probably know stuff about me, that even I don’t.
I simply don’t like the fact that this database exists somewhere because it can come back to bite me one day. Just imagine what a fascistic government could use data like this for. Or maybe not even that, but remember how we first didn’t have chatGPT and no one thought we would for years but then it just appeared and now it’s there. Well what if tomorrow someone comes up with an equally fun tool that you can put any person’s name into and it’ll give you access to all this data. I want my page on that app to be very brief and inconsistent.
I’m perfectly aware that it’s impossible to use the internet and not leave any tracks at all, but I want to make sure that my tracks are incredibly difficult to follow and preferably that they don’t lead anywhere.
Great tool but not cheap. Infact you probably couldn’t find a more expensive version. Knipex however is worth it. Generally my advice is to first buy a cheap tool and replace it with more expensive one after it breaks but with pliers it’s pay once, cry once situation. These are truly BIFL tools. The 100mm mini cobra pliers are awesome aswell.
Yeah people have mixed opinions about that, but atleast in my case YouTube’s recommendations does a really good job at finding content I’m interested in. It just needs some training for it to do a good job. When there’s something I’m not interested in, I just flag it as “not interested” and then that stuff dissapears and is replaced with something else.
Way longer than your average person but I’d start running out of supplies after few months too. I have food stocked up for few months, 90 litres of drinking water and a water filter, 120 litres of diesel plus what I have in the tank, enough fuel to run alchohol stove for few months aswell and I have a fireplace to keep myself warm basically indefinitely.
It’s kind of scary to think that even me whose somewhat of a prepper would run out of supplies quite quick. What does that mean for the average person who doesn’t even have a jug of water stored up.
Also, this is the kind of discussion that would fit well on !zombiesurvival
