I thought Tim Horton line ups were bad. Holy heck how do they even account for this at the city planning level?

They missed using Access incorrectly with too many users and too large of a database.

WashedOver, to piracy in Amazon clearly lying about "ownership" on Prime.

I feel like an outsider on these debates. I totally agree we should be able to own forever.

In my case I find there is so much new TV and movies I rarely go back to re-watch shows or movies so owning them isn’t on my radar. It’s a challenge just to watch a whole series I find.

I’m wondering how often do people beyond kids re-watch movies and TV shows? Kids seem to be able to rewatch the same movies several times a day…

Well based on the American consumer trends they will basically eat anything that remotely looks or smells like food so I’m sure some cost cutting accountant thought this was a good idea…

Wait until they replace them with plastic alternatives with a food like coating in the years ahead…

WashedOver, to lemmyshitpost in Is Sh!tposting still anything goes? Had a Classic Art meme joke deleted as the moderator thought it was anti-abortion? It was much more about a joke and a shitty one at that.

The ICQ, AOL and MSN chats were a big focus then. I can still hear those notifications too. It was a simpler time before psychology was brought into hijack our attention.

They have done a excellent job of that with the latest generation of the web. It’s too bad we have lost much of the soul of the early web in the process…

Locally especially among the rednecks, the answer is always those immigrants.

My first 2 thoughts are yeah right they came and stole your software engineering job, and what job? That back breaking one you weren’t going to work in the fields anyways as crops rot away? I can’t see you doing either. /s
