URLCheck like program for PC (windows =\ )?

I got so used to using it, filtering params manually and route editing when needed, that I find myself do it manually in a notepad on my PC lol. Does anyone know and OSS software that does that? From my searches I found only one app that claims to do that, but isn’t OSS so I put it on hold. Worse case I’ll block its access...

XpeeN,

That’s has to do with the backend server that’ve been chosen at the preference page. Servers becomes unavailable all the time, and the frontend don’t change a server when it happens. Just choose a few servers that works well and you trust, and switch back and forth when needed.

XpeeN,

It’s because of combustion tho, right? using a dry herb vaporizer will prevent that then

XpeeN,

Yeah ik, just pointing that out for the people that just rules out inhalation of weed because of combustion.

XpeeN,

Did they just downvote you for asking a source? is this reddit all over again?

XpeeN,

I wanted to say the same but then remembered I’m using piped for a while now lol

XpeeN,

Yeah but the real question is, why the hell did you choose to look at the URL instead of the image itself?

XpeeN,

Nah I mean it literally just showed me a picture by default because OP put it as a ![] () format

XpeeN,

I was pointing DVD out because CDs had 512MB, which are less than 612MB, so that disk must be actually a DVD disk.

XpeeN,

I was sure the size of regular CDs were 512MB, which was the reason I said DVD.

XpeeN,

Only 612MB? That’s a waste of free 4.1GB in a nice DVD disk. Let me fill it up for you

XpeeN,

Empathy and kindness all over, no countries, borders or nations exist, just humans. People and corps no longer powered by greed as much as these days, and general thinking of how to keep growing and do better as a species.

Which gadget makes your life better?

For me, it's a bidet toilet seat. I bought one that didn't really fit as well as I hoped, so now I am shopping for a v2 based on experience. I don't want to live without one going forward. That's for sure.

XpeeN,

Dry herb vape: I mainly use it with cannabis and for me it gives clearer effects, better taste, more control of the high when wanted (different temperatures gives different results basically). More easy and discrete to operate on the go, and not bond to smoke a whole j if I decide to get high (last two depends on the device though) and also gave me a fun hobby.

If you want to buy one, fell free to ask for advice at !vaporents and be aware as some devices at regular shops are health hazard (looking at you, Gpen)

XpeeN,

Actually pasteboard looks pretty good, I wonder how long the imgs stays online. Thanks for that.

What's the point of buying new phones every years?

Other than your carrier give it for free or cheap, I don’t really see the reason why should you buy new phone. I’ve been using Redmi Note 9 for past 3 years and recently got my had on Poco F5. I don’t see the point of my ‘upgrade’. I sold it and come back to my Note 9. Gaming? Most of them are p2w or microtransaction...

XpeeN,

This.

If you have a phone with snapdragon CPU you probably can extend it’s lifespan with custom ROMs that offers security updates. Mine released in 2019, support dropped at android 11, but unofficial LOS with android 13 works great and still updates regularly. No complains here, even the OTA works. Although I do need to flash manually because of root. I don’t see myself upgrade anytime soon.

But it is an open source project and the developers views are strongly in favor of privacy, so yeah you can self host it or check the source code. But I think it’s safe to assume they didn’t program it like that.

Note that people who host an instance can theoretically change it, but still I wouldn’t worry it’ll actually happen.

XpeeN,

Of course, I said that too. And unless you self host yourself you have to trust the instance you’re using. But the question itself was more about lemmy in general, and most people just deploy the docker image or something.

Also, I don’t believe that, assuming an average person host an instance, the host will want some random people metadata from photos. It’s not big corps that process every bit of data they get.

XpeeN,

Isn’t this comment deleted for you too? (I replied twice by mistake)

Anyway, yeah I completely agree. But as I replayed to a user at my other reply:
