_number8_,

tell me more about how landscaping with physical labor and materials is just like having a server turned on

_number8_,

posting here is nice cause there’s less competition

_number8_,

fuck why can’t i live in europe. almost every day i have the opposite experience where a well meaning midwest person tries to be friendly and my brain just…stalls and does something like this

_number8_,

i genuinely hate that phrase, it’s usually used by people to get you to stop complaining about a valid issue

_number8_,

pedal steel or any sort of slide guitar

_number8_,

simply use the moisture from the sprayers

_number8_,

being overly paranoid about finances

i used ynab for a while but am now realizing it’s probably worse for my mental health to keep track of things that granularly. need to go back to a more zoomed out, normal person sort of management scheme

_number8_,

definitely. i’m usually dreading the part right after opening gifts. – the whole day feels stagnant and dead, everything is shut, there’s nothing to do but wait for how shitty jan and feb will be. brutal dead awful months

_number8_,

i don’t ever play online or the campaign, i just like driving around and crashing into shit

_number8_,

there should be a wordwide fair trade pact

_number8_,

impulse bought a 3D printer over the weekend then returned it today unopened

_number8_,

why are you defending them? sure, they’re allowed because they’re a big company so they make the rules, but that doesn’t mean you have to lick their boots and say oh actually that’s fine you made the choice. even big companies SHOULD be ethical. we DESERVE ethical treatment, furthermore, even people who didn’t wade through the terms.

_number8_,

Anyway, if the concern is that Plex, the company, has access to this data, then yeah, you probably should have read the privacy policy a little closer.

come on, you know this is a non answer. also plex shouldn’t have this data, it should be for the admin only.

_number8_,

i’d literally rather die than go to a party. unfocused undirected unscheduled endless socializing where i have to pretend like i’m having 100% fun is a torture sentence

Current and Former (Fast) Food Service Workers - How do you handle requests like “All the fries you can give me”?

Just curious as I’ve never been on the other side of the counter, how does this sort of thing tend to work at restaurants? Fast food and fast-casual places are where I’ve heard customers say things “pile as much lettuce on there as you’re allowed to” - is there ever a limit your supervisor instructed you for things...

_number8_,

depends on how busy it was and/or how good of a mood i was in. i worked at a pizza place and would usually try to hook people up as reasonably as possible (not charge someone if they were taking off a topping then adding a topping even tho you were meant to, giving like 8 cheese cups if they ordered 5 (mood/rush/etc dependent), ample extra toppings if they were nice, etc)

_number8_,

i recently bought a new device so i had to install the fresh / current versions of my apps. very annoying because god the twitter icon looks like fucking garbage now

_number8_,

there are also some birds called bushtits which puts them pretty well in my good graces

_number8_,

so people can tee off it, because shitty bad viewpoints are easy to argue against, and the more people that see the rebuttals, the better

_number8_,

well it’s a bullshit fake restriction that has zero need to exist beyond greed. very cool of them to try to get something going.
