abbadon420,

This should be crossposted to dadjokes (I don’t know how to link communities)

abbadon420,

That’s awesome! I’ll get you a coffee.

abbadon420,

Is there a community for this on lemmy?

abbadon420,

These are difinitely just short clips, but I’ll take another (actual) look at certain sites. Up till now I had automated software do the looking for me, but apparently it’s not flawless.

Ok ok, don’t

See if I care.

abbadon420,

How dare you compare me to those low life, good for nothing, disney lovers. We are totally not the same. We might have the same origin, we’re called “nerds”. But down the road, they took a wrong turn and lost their way. However, I love them like a brother, because there is noone better to pick on than your brother.

abbadon420,

It is generally accepted that the historical person of Jesus did exist. There are other (non biblical) sources fromt that era that mention a man named Jesus of Nazareth from the Palestine area in the first century. Which is only logical, since he made quite a political and religious ruckus. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Historicity_of_Jesus

abbadon420,

Have you tried dickpicks? They seem quite popular amongst the high society.

abbadon420,

Aww. I was planning on watching that one

abbadon420,

At least in the movie I could keep up with who’s who

One time I had to order a 50 cent component for a ceiling fan from aliExpress, because it was nowhere else to be found. I paid with a year long bombardment of spam mails.

abbadon420,

Can’t you convert to to some lossy format?. Mp3 compresses files by erasing all audio channels outside (or on the edge of) human hearing range, maybe there’s some format that does the same in video? (I was thinking of mp4, but mp4 is lossless)

abbadon420,

But not the tech kind of nerd, probably a nerd in stamp collecting or entomology

abbadon420,

For some it is. It used to be a point for me. It still is a factor, but it is no longer the main point. Service and convenience is the most prevalent point for me right now.

What it comes down to for me is that I don’t want to subsribe to and pay for 7 streaming services to be able to watch everything I want. I had gotten used to Netflix being the primary streaming service which offered “everything” (it didn’t but it was plenty). I stopped being a pirate in that time. Then every asshole company pulled their shit from netflix and started their own streaming service. That’s when the convenience stopped and I went back to priacy. Funny how that works, right?

abbadon420,

For me the best way for finding out what job I wanted out of highschool was turning 27. Out of highschool, I thought I wanted to become a teacher. That didn’t work out, so I did some years (12) of various blue collar jobs, got married, had children. In the meantime I kept searching for my passion. Eventually I found it in programming. I spend a good 4 years tinkering with it until I eventually decided to go back to school. Now I’m finally loving my job and I’m again back in school trying to get my master.

abbadon420,

I do close youtbe much quicker than I used to. I can watch one video and rhan I’m done. The next video starts with a full minte of ads and I’m out. I know there’s stuff like ReVanced, but I keep wondering wether it’s all worth it.
