afraid_of_zombies,

Bible: Angels visit earth and have consensual relations with human women. Angels also visit Abe and Sarah appearing to be humans. Angels visit Lot and appear to be human.

Also Bible: be not afraid of me despite being a lovecraftian nightmare!

Can’t even keep their lies straight

afraid_of_zombies,

False neither was designed. Some consultant put numbers in a spreadsheet and back charged the people who built it.

afraid_of_zombies,

I still don’t get how five railway workers all failed to remember to lockout/tagout a line they were working on. Maybe it was an insurance scam

afraid_of_zombies,

I was just sitting on the couch and my then gf went down into the basement, she tripped and fell down the stairs. I ran to the doorway and saw her on the concrete floor and the only word I can use to describe her was “broken”.

I swear it was all in black and white. Time wasn’t working right. I was with her while we waited for the ambulance I called.

We broke up about three years later and she had knee problems even than.

afraid_of_zombies,

Yes. You would have to hedge your bets and believe in every possible god. I wonder however if you could apply customer service techniques to it. The god that complains the most gets the most belief

afraid_of_zombies,

I have had an IT role and been a controls engineer for many years now. There is a fair amount of overlap in duties and you only need one degree for that. Basically, a lot of it is IT for machinery. I have a hell desk support team who keeps most of the basics at bay and every time they all get sick at once I remember why I love them.

afraid_of_zombies,

You are correct. It wasn’t a typo. I stole it from the BOFH (bastard operator from ) Which if you are in IT you should read and laugh.

afraid_of_zombies,

There are plenty of parts of the world where governments/aid groups have to distribute food. Most of it is staples like bread and rice. We also have these protein drink things now that brag they can replace any meal. At some point the cost of those drinks will fall to making it worth giving out meal replacement drinks to people instead of bags of rice.

afraid_of_zombies,

Breadlines except for meal replacement drinks. We have meal replacement drinks we have breadlines. Eventually this will make sense.

afraid_of_zombies,

I am surprised it is a thing really. People are paying for porn? People are looking at free porn without ad blocks, incognito mode, and a VPN?

Erotic fiction makes even less sense. You can get way more than you would ever have time to read for free and yet people are still buying it.

afraid_of_zombies,

I give my kids permission to kill me if I act like he does.

afraid_of_zombies,

There is also a lobbying effort behind it. We can’t ignore that economists continue to argue for bank bailouts and against welfare programs.

afraid_of_zombies,

My policy is to buy Harbor freight and when the tool dies from being used to buy a good one.

afraid_of_zombies,

Ok my copier story. We had a copier room in my high school with a little window in the door. I put a black sheet of paper on it, set it to copy 999 times, locked the door from the inside, then walked away. Turns out no one knows where the key was to the little copier room. I got caught and was punished. The end.

afraid_of_zombies,

And seriously harmed children by bringing them into a workplace that he knew was not safe.

It should bother any decent person what he did. If they really did suffer from animal attacks he could have provided them with weapons. Hell, I am reasonable. He could have sold them guns and made a profit. “Ok peeps, work in my factory and I will pay you. You can use that money to buy stuff that will kill those animals”

afraid_of_zombies,

Jesus didn’t say anything, he never existed.

afraid_of_zombies,

Went to Jesus camp and got assaulted by a counselor pretty badly, was harassed into keeping silent about it. Would rather not discuss it too much, I did have to go to the hospital. My faith died at that point and I was just going through the motions for years. I was planning on a theology degree of some sort but decided my heart wasn’t in it. Went for engineering instead. Hit a low point right before graduation and was really hoping to feel literally anything, felt nothing.

2018 sat down one night and decided that I was done pretending I was just lapsed, that I was being a coward. I was going to look at the evidence and see where it went. Been an atheist ever since.

afraid_of_zombies,

Yes but it is occasionally off by a second or two, what with free will and all.

afraid_of_zombies,

You are about one lab accident away from becoming a supervillain aren’t you? But not the normal kind, the kind that people sorta see their pov.

afraid_of_zombies,

I had a software developer job where they expected me to write code in Microsoft notepad, put it on a USB, and then plug it into airgapped computers to test it. Wasn’t allowed to even use notepad++.

Oh it felt so freaken good leaving that job after 6 weeks. It felt even better when I used my old manager’s personal phone number on a fake grinder profile I made. She kept a tally of my bathroom breaks.
