Soylent came out about when I was having surgeries for Crohns and I used it at stages where I was healthy enough to bulk. I’ve been in remission for years but it’s still pretty hard to gain weight so I keep Soylents around to pack extra calories in. Use it as a coffee creamer too, surprisingly it froths really well. Also add it to oatmeal.
Also eating complete garbage food is better than nothing, I’ve made that tradeoff many times. Salt fat and sugar cater to what we naturally crave.
Yeah classic food truck venue here is an event at a brewery where they’re legally required to serve food. So you buy tickets and then provide to the vendors, but if you work out the prices it ends up being insane with super small quantities. They always have to make the food weird too, sometimes it’s cool but sometimes you just want normal shitfood.
I wanna do one where it’s like simple lowbrow stoner food done just a little fancy. Like grilled PB&J, but the peanut butter is the good stuff and the jam has the full berries in it, sourdough bread that can really take a heavy fry in some salted butter. The kind of stuff that’s dirt simple to make but really shines with a bit of extra love.
A lot of those old games have been repackaged for Windows as well on GoG or Steam, not all but a decent amount. Jazz Jackrabbit series I still play occasionally, there’s a claymation point-and-click called The Neverhood (by the Earth Worm Jim guy) that works out of the box, and my personal favorite Battlezone 98 Redux which is a repackage of the game you can get on Steam, best multiplayer first person rts ever.
