On the other hand we have German where the common saying is “Leck mich am Arsch”, meaning “lick me on the arse”.
But “Leck mich im Arsch” - “lick me in the arse” - still exists. It is just not as commonly used. The most popular usage is probably Mozart’s song with the same title.
Reminds me of the fli4l project. Floppy ISDN for Linux. It used to be an entire Linux installation to use as a router that fit on a 3.5" floppy disc. I had it breath new life into an old 486 PC I had lying around.
The auction servers are not really that different from the others. You get the same support. Every few years I hop onto a new auction server when it’s cheaper than my current one. Never had any problems. When a HDD dies I get a new one as quickly as with the normal dedicated servers.
What you do with it is up to you. I run most of my services on bare metal. I did some virtualisation years ago but didn’t see any benefits. I have one or two services running through Docker. That might go up with time, as it seems to be the easiest way to get something up with the optimal configuration.
The only amazing thing about it is the dual trackpad typing. Apart from that it lacks keys like Alt, Ctrl, Esc and the F-keys. Sometimes the arrow keys, tab and insert send weird key codes.
Maybe they have been blocked by your instance. I still get content from there. That has actually been one of the reasons for me to create my own instance.
