brygphilomena,

Yes.

Societal issues like crime would be greatly reduced if people were able to live with relative security regarding housing and food.

Hobbies and recreational activities provide significant mental health benefits. If everyone was able to afford housing, food, and some recreation we’d have a massive shift in this country.

I’m not even saying working particularly hard. Everyone seems to need a job and they don’t all have to be back breaking hard work to earn these things. Mcdonalds and Kohls aren’t prestigious jobs, but shouldnt those workers deserve to know they have a roof over their heads and food on the table?

brygphilomena,

Fair enough, just throwing that out there as an option to move DNS somewhere that does have API access for certbot to use.

brygphilomena,

This is how I feel.

I would much rather have a single machine running vms which I can easily snapshot and back up rather than a dozen small machines I have to deal with power supplies and networking.

SBCs have specific use cases, usually where they need to interact with hardware. That’s what made the rpi so great with it’s GPIO and hats. But that’s a rather small use case.

brygphilomena,

I flunked out of college. I was undiagnosed ADHD and my major was something that I genuinely have a passion for. But wasn’t able to discipline myself to go to classes regularly. I don’t think I would have done well in that field anyway.

It didn’t really hurt me though, I ended up in a job that underpaid for too long until I got proper medical treatment for my ADHD and depression. Now I make a decent salary in a field that works well for me.

I love what I learned and would love to learn more, but the structure of college was something that was extremely tough to work through.

PC died. Trying the legal options.

And fuck. I really miss plex. I’ve had Netflix and Hulu forever as family won’t let me cancel. Decided to sign up to Paramount + for some Trek. Twice in lower decks it didn’t save my watched episodes. Doesn’t mark episode as watched if you exit during the credits. And multiple playback issues....

brygphilomena,

Ombi or Overseerr (I prefer Overseerr) will let them do requests automatically. Overseerr uses Plex logins so you don’t need to manage additional passwords for them.

brygphilomena,

But that smell hits different. It’s what they use on Pirates of the Caribbean at Disney and partly why it smells the way it does.

brygphilomena,

No matter how “sexy” it may look in porn and movies. Sex in a hot tub sucks. The water kills all lubrication.

brygphilomena,

Life is a highway Remember me Turbo lover (I played a lot of GT3 a-spec)

[Discussion] How do you feel about age verification on Porn sites? (lemmings.world)

Porn sites Pornhub, XVideos, and Stripchat face stricter requirements to verify the ages of their users after being officially designated as “Very Large Online Platforms” (VLOPs) under the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA)....

brygphilomena,

I’m getting flashbacks to Counter Strike. It’s been a long time since I’ve thought of sprays in games.

Van Oak Props. He had some very cool, very intricate builds that were a lot of fun to follow along with.

Now that there are sponsored videos, those videos are somewhat short, almost half assed builds just to use the sponsors product. The quality in his videos and the props he makes have gone down.

brygphilomena,

Turns out you people didn’t actually purchase it.

I wonder if anywhere in the “purchase” terms they included “while Sony holds the license to distribute.”

I hate that “purchases” people make are restricted per platform. If I “purchase” a specific title it should be available on any and all platforms that serve that content. No one should be asked to purchase it on Sony. Apple, Netflix, Amazon, or whatever other shitty streaming service comes out.

As much as I think nfts are fucking retarded, this could be one of the few cases where that stupid digital receipt might make sense.

We also need to get rid of the chicken tax

brygphilomena,

Regular watch. Other than my phone, I tend to want less technology on me.

My go to is an old Casio, the same one Dennis Nedry wears in Jurassic Park. It’s super weird seeing how expensive this watch has become on eBay.

brygphilomena,

Music, various places. Dropbox and several random devices.

Movies and TV I don’t backup. I can “rip” them all again if I need to, and have done on multiple occasions. But backups would be costly with the sheer volume I have. 170tb of s3 block storage is expensive, and so is additional cold hard drives to keep it all on.

brygphilomena,

My favorite idea for augmented reality is the ability to overlay historical photos of architecture. To see the world as it was 10, 20, or 100 years ago.

If only they could figure out the privacy aspect of having something recording video on your face.

brygphilomena,

Lightsaber kid? Mostly just because iirc he got bullied for it quite a bit.

Goatse or two girls one cup. Or lemon party.

brygphilomena,

Hard to say. I trained my last one to walk at heel but he would always start pulling as we started to get home. As soon as he could see it he wanted to pull.

But I did have him trained to stop and sit any time we had to cross a street. The few times he would get out, he wouldnt cross the streets and we’d find him around the block.

He had zero interest in other dogs. Whenever I took him anywhere, he just wanted to be a complete lap dog. He’d whine if he wasn’t on lap sitting. That said, whenever we walked past other people or dogs, I’d keep him on an extra short leash incase the other dog might try to do anything.

brygphilomena,

I didn’t care the character was gay. It just felt like it was heavy handed to point out he was gay. His relationship, and by extension his sexuality, had no impact on the story. Why even bring it up?

His sexuality and his relationship felt like it was shoe horned into the script so Disney could say they had a gay character.

Also. The movie was forgettable and kind of crap.

brygphilomena,

Most of the time there are a half dozen people in the background actually just doing the work. Totally ignored by the camera crew.

brygphilomena,

He’s signed with Fox. It’s very strange when I realized the scripting, narrating, and editing for his shows had the same hyperbolic comments that Trump does.

  • “Most extreme”
  • “Worst”
  • “Greatest challenge”
  • “First time in Hells Kitchen/Kitchen Nightmare/random show history”

I hate his American shows. I want to see the actual food, not the bullshit manufactured drama.

His American shows are all ego stroking. Lots of nonsequitor comments from contestants and guests on how incredible he is. How sexy (which is very awkward) he is. Omg I can’t believe he’s right here.

brygphilomena,

I love the idea that it’s people’s profession to doctor paystubs for rent.

Hehe… professionally forged documents. Profession. Hehehehehe

brygphilomena,

Jury nullification is something that more people need to use. If you don’t agree with the law, as a juror you can always vote not guilty.

Though if you talk about jury nullification they will not select you for jury duty.

brygphilomena,

There seems to be a wildly unusual anti-meat sentiment on Lemmy. It’s disproportionate from my experience in person.

I wonder if it means anything.

brygphilomena,

If you have a basement, spend time on it. It’s much, much cooler below ground. The earth is a great insulator.

Go out to movie theaters, malls, or other public spaces that have AC. Visit public pools, beaches, etc.
