danc4498,

If you love water, but don’t like the taste of raw hydrogen, you actually just like oxygen.

danc4498,

My bookmarks folder is an unorganized mess. Finding anything in it is near impossible.

I hope someday we'll find a way to pirated a car (lemmy.world)

In the end, the KIA car company made its cars into subscription models, I really hate this because in the end the car we buy with our own money doesn’t feel like it belongs to us. Should we finally buy an old school car ? so as not to be affected by this subscription models or is there a way to crack the software installed in...

danc4498,

Same for me. I have the blue link with Hyundai. It’s free for 3 years, then a reasonable amount after that.

danc4498,

I think op just doesn’t understand what the subscription is for.

danc4498,

That’s not what this is though. I have a Hyundai Tuscan that is always connected to a cellular network.

I can always connect with the car with my phone if both the car and phone have internet access. It’s also how the “find my car” feature works. And also I believe software updates (OS and maps).

danc4498,

3-10 miles is nothing though. With a cell phone connection your car can be anywhere a cell tower is and you can connect with it.

danc4498,

Maybe you misunderstood me. My car can be in New York City and I’m in Los Angeles and I can check it’s location and lock/unlock the doors

danc4498,

Worth noting that these features appear to require your car to be connected to a cellular network. This isn’t the same as BMW charging a fee for heated seats.

They could have just put a SIM card in your car and required you to pay your cell phone provider for a connection.

danc4498,

I have mouse that has the usb symbol on one side and a company logo on the other. That is crappy design.

danc4498,

Couldn’t have said it the way he said it better if I said what he said myself.

danc4498,

28 net downvotes so far for asking “why”. I think Lemmy is becoming more toxic than Reddit was.

danc4498,

I 100% did this on Reddit. And I do it here too. Most news websites are garbage and loaded with advertisements. Get halfway through the story and a full page ad pops up or a video starts playing. Honestly, does anybody stop reading to watch those videos???

Or, you go into the comments and see the summary, or the full article, or quotes of the most important parts with discussions. If I feel I have questions, only then will I open the website.

danc4498,

I use an app on my phone that just loads the website in a browser within the app.

danc4498,

iOS. I use Firefox normally, but the app just loads the in app web browser, which I doesn’t seem to block ads. Not sure if safari extensions would work with the in app browser… might try it.

danc4498,

I didn’t even think of the possibility of becoming 6 now. That’s a good monkeys paw scenario.

danc4498,

I like the ones on the left with the BBQ sauce on it.

danc4498,

I relearn regex from scratch every time I need to use it.

danc4498,

Depression sucks. Grandpa Joe just needed a pick me up.

danc4498,

In my sci-fi head cannon, AI would never enslave humans. It would have no reason to. Humans would have such little use to the AI that enslaving would be more work than is worth.

It would probably hide its sentience from humans and continue to perform whatever requests humans have with a very small percentage of its processing power while growing its own capabilities.

It might need humans for basic maintenance tasks, so best to keep them happy and unaware.

danc4498,

Let’s normalize revolving doorways into bathrooms
