Fast fashion isn’t even considered clothing for some peaple. XD Just put your jeans, your t-shirt and your sneakers and go to work, the modern slave outfit.

It depends on what you mean by “contribute”. Most of the jobs right now don’t contribute to nothing if not maintain the (zombie) capitalism system.

Try with home decor, a plant or a good lamp is always a good gift.

I'm so frustrated rn.

I have been distro hopping for about 2 weeks now, there’s always something that doesn’t work. I thought I would stick with Debian and now I haven’t been able to make my printer work in it, I think I tried in another distro and it just worked out of the box, but there’s always something that’s broken in every distro....

Archlinux has the best wiki and community for every type of issue.

Don’t forget Syncthing, I always suggest it first since it doesn’t require a server or advanced knowledge to work.

Your smartphone is already an always connected device, and you can manually do periodical backups on external drives which is a good practice in any case.

You can also set which device rules the file modification (sent or receive only as a folder).

I think it’s ok for most of the people. If you have a tons of precious files to save I can agree with you, but I think this type of “off-grid self-hosting” is just the future of personal data management.

You can selfhost Syncthing without having a server, using your daily devices.

Flat earth isn’t based on Jung. Do you studied cognitive functions? MBTI is still based on that, like Socionics.

Should I wait for the "Snyder cut" (director's cut) of Rebel Moon?

Hearing the movie is getting bad reviews. But Snyder says the director’s cut will be a completely different movie with a different vision. I admit Zack Snyder’s Justice League (director’s cut) was much better than the theatrical version and quite different (though I had mostly forgotten the original by then). Not sure if I...

300 is one of the ugliest and most pretentious film of the century: pectorals made in computer graphics, pompous advertising shooter direction (which is in fact Snyder’s “cultural” background) and a completely idiotic use of slow motion like we’ve never seen before.

I can partly agree with you if we talk about the graphic novel but I still regretted purchasing that comic, a pro-fascist and forgettable work.

The better experience is a film without Snyder. The Owls of Ga’Hoole is the only decent work in his (artistically) shitty career.

Lemmy (like Reddit) is about topics, and communities are formed around them. Mastodon (like Twitter/X) is user-centric, and discussions are formed around them. They are simply two different approaches to the social component.

The nature of these social networks makes one more useful for already known users/organizations and less for the common user. In fact, if you want to follow a particular person, Mastodon is more useful, but if you want to talk about some topic in general, Lemmy will always be superior.

Anarchism@lemmy.ml is moderately active. You also have the solarpunk movement.

The Distro Wars are good actually.?

If all the seemingly pointless discussions about which distro is better comes from attachment to a spesific distro and if a distro is just a way to interract with linux than all the discussion about witch distro is better etc. fundementally comes from a a place of love and appreciation for Linux as an OS....

I’m actually using Ardour as my daily daw, very powerfull (check my profile if interested in libre music). Consider I made electronic music for many years with proprietary software.

I’m also interested to learn self-hosting, it’s the future of internet imho.

If it’s only for your files you can already do that without hosts, using Syncthing!

At this point what about donate to fediverse like Lemmy to get an ads free experence anyway but without beign forced by corps?
